Customers are saying

Customers consistently note the EAX20 AX1800 Wi-Fi 6 Mesh Desktop Range Extender and Signal Booster's ease of use, impressive range, and strong signal strength as significant advantages. Many also highlight the improved coverage and generally positive performance. However, some users experienced connection issues and compatibility problems with certain devices or internet service providers. A few customers also felt the price point was relatively high.

Works great! I like that it's both wired and WI/FI. Wireless speeds are close to wired and piggy backs off the same SSID. Highly recommended.

I bought this a week ago and it wouldn't connect to the 5G band nor the internet through my Netgear RAX35 router. It merges with my SSID, but then has no internet access. After 3 hours of research, I opened a case with Netgear. After another hour on the phone with support, they said the extender was bad and to exchange it. The second one won't connect to the internet either. One would think that a Netgear WiFi 6 extender would easily connect to a Netgear WiFi 6 router. I'll stick with using an old router as an access point with a different SSID. I've always used Netgear products, but may look at other brands now.

    Works with AD7200 (R9000 & R8900) router perfectly

I have the NETGEAR Nighthawk X10 AD7200 (R9000/R8900) and it works perfectly as a mesh extender. I can walk from one end of the house to the next and it auto switches between router and extender on the same SSID. I feel like the range on this extender is better than on my router, but I haven't measured. Works in the Nighthawk app. I have it sitting behind my TV and it reaches the rooms on the other side of the house.

I bought this in hopes of extending a signal to my shop with a computer. I magically lost the ability to catch the wifi signal one day and thought I would try the EAX20. I was skeptical but to my delight it works fantastic! Also improved all our security cam connections outside the house which was a bonus!
