NETGEAR WiFi 6 Mesh Range Extender (EAX20), was exactly what I needed. I had recently started a work from home position that needed a hard wire connect. The mesh extender provided me with simple low cost option that works well with my current internet provider. Through the app there were clear instructions on how to set up and activate the product.

After doing some research I felt this extender would do the best job. I needed to put it out in my camper to link up a security camera and the camper is about 100 feet away from the house in a semi wooded area. The Best Buy rep told me that there isn’t an extender that would work well in this situation. I figured with Best Buy’s return policy I would just give it a try. I am happy to say that this extender works great and has done a very good job all the way out in the woods. I would definitely recommend it.

Once the software problem and the apps issue were fixed—all good. The unit delivers from day one on the patch plugs it comes with. The WiFI set up was a nightmare until we hit with the proper tech *weeks in the making at Netgear. He made the solution easy —use a PC and not the app based programs.

This extender seems to be working fine. I'm able to increase the download & upload speeds of the property I own next door. The only bad thing is that the Netgear App "Night Hawk" doesn't work any more.

Easy, step by step process to set up - just follow the quick start guide. It gave new life to my outdoor security cameras, my smart plugs, fire sticks, and devices that were furthest away from my primary router. I use xfinity internet, there’s no issues with connecting this extender to my XFi router.

I was looking for a Wi-Fi router to expand my wireless network into my shop. This works very well. Set up was easy and no issues at all. Highly recommend for expanding a Wi-Fi network.

This is an extender and mesh platform. It is more expensive than standard extenders, but it has some horsepower of its own. In an old Coral Gables House, in an addition, this router took 18 Mbps. and turned it into 88 Mbps. Good job.

We have this approximately 25 feet from our main router. The signal strength never seems to be very high and it tends to loss connection twice a month. We use it to stream movies on a tv using Roku.

I’ve used other brand wifi extenders and they don’t compare. I don’t have service where I live so when I go outside, if someone is trying to text me, I won’t get it. With the net gear extender, I have wifi down at my garage(for reference the garage is probably 800 or more feet from my house), none of the other extenders I’ve used have done that. I’m very happy with my purchase.

Son's room was at the limits of the 5 Ghz wifi, and the 2.4 wasn't doing well for gaming. Didn't really feel like retrofitting hardwire LAN, so I bought this. It did what it should do, with no issues.

Ad hoc mesh for your existing router

I used to use an older Nighthawk router as an access point. This was very clunky, as devices would connect to the first router they could, then hold on for dear life and refuse to connect to the other router as you moved around the house. With this, the access point acts more like a proper mesh system. As I move around the house, devices connect to either the main router or this device as needed, depending on which has the stronger signal. Caveat 1: I am using this with a Nighthawk router, so I have no idea how well this plays with other routers from other companies. Caveat 2: if at all possible, connect this to your existing router using an ethernet cable. As with all range extenders, if you connect to the main router over WiFi, any devices connecting to this will generate twice the traffic (each packet gets broadcast on the network twice to make it to the main router). Depending on what you have going on in your network, this could halve throughput if you don't connect via ethernet. This is true of all range extenders. I would definitely recommend this if your existing router is a Netgear Nighthawk. I have no idea how good or bad this device is with other routers.
