    Great modem, paired it with the net gear nighthawk x6s! Internet provider has a 1GB internet speed, and with these 2 combinations, I’m getting 1GB & more!

    I upgraded from the ARRIS SURFboard docis3.1 modem since it was no longer on Comcast's approved devices list for Gigabit speeds. After a few days of research and reading numerous reviews I bit the bullet and purchased this Nighthawk modem. Although great looking, it delivered slower speeds than my previous modem. I was now 550-600 mbps vs 700 with the Arris. Mind you I pay for a Gig. I spoke with both Comcast and Netgear technical support and was advised by both that this is a simple plug and play device and the power and the channels can no be adjusted. Long story short I ended up returning it and exchanged for a Motorola - 32 x 8 DOCSIS 3.1 Cable Modem with 2.5 GB. I now pull consistently 900 mbps + even in peak times. If you are a Comcast user save your self the hassle and go with the $100 cheaper Motorola!

    Instantly fixed issues that I was experiencing with my previous modem and Xfinity. I highly recommend going to DOCSIS 3.1 if you are running high speeds.

    This unit was a replacement for a Netgear CM1200 which failed. The CM2000 is used as part of a mesh from ARRIS with a 16 channel switch. Comcast is coming out with a 2k down load speed in 2021. I pay extra for the high speed. I'm pretty sure Comcast will charge even more for the 2k down load speed. The CM2000 is future proof, capable of up to 2.5 kbs. It only has one RJ45 output. The CM1200 has 4 RJ45 connections but limited to 1kbps. I did a speed test on CM2000 and my down load speed was over 1.2kbps with only a 1kbps service. A very good results from CM2000. A good buy. I did buy the extended warranty from Best Buy just in case I have a problem with the CM2000.

    I have Cox gigablast and I've seen this modem go above the advertised speeds occasionally. Better for today, and future-proof(ish)? Sounds good to me.

    It works well, nothing surprising but I think it's very expensive, 300 dollars is a lot of money for a modem, I already paid for it but I don't recommend spending $300 dollars
