    It was defective item. It is the most expensive but it is wait my time. Finally , got the surfboard S33. It was really good. Easy and fast.

    Unit worked well out of the box and continued for about 3 months. Shortly before the included service agreement was up, the unit started having drop outs. I reached out to the NG technical support which was very time consuming which directed me to my ISP. ISP verified all lines and signals. NG Technical Support then decided to RMA the unit which was replaced with a Remanufactured one (you pay for the return on the RMA). Replacement unit having issues as well. Good thing I have another modem, while I continue to jump through hoops.

    Good modem but had troubles with the cox network in Arizona. Downstream channels would not consistently lock. I replaced it with the Arris S33 and its running great. It seems like there is some firmware issues at the moment so hopefully it's fixed soon.

    I had absolutely no issues with this modem but today, I woke up being disconnected from the internet. After a hours of troubleshooting with Comcast and Netgear Support, I am told: "Thank you, I am sorry to inform you that the modem is broken." I reply: "it is just a year old! :(" Netgear: "I apolozise, we could have replace a new unit if it is under warranty but unfortunately the warranty has been expired" Me: "of course it is... $300 for a modem and it dies after just over a year... this is unacceptable. is there anything you can do?" Netgear: "No, I am sorry." So, be warned, I guess? Still no idea how it could just break like that, it just sits there in a (ventilated!) cupboard under the stairs.
