    I changed my Arris SB8200 for this modem thinking that it was better, it is a bad investment I bought it 01/18/21 and it has already stopped working 300 dollars wasted the ARRIS is better at a better price, in the end I had to put my SB8200 of more than 3 years

    Bought this before leaving for a 2 week trip. When I returned I discovered the unit no longer worked. All lights were flashing and diagnosis resulted in it being fried. I reinstalled the old model I had and it has worked flawlessly.

    After a month and a half the modem bricked! All lights flash rapidly after a power cycle. Super fast when it was first installed and right when you needed your internet to work it failed! I should have taken the advice of everyone that said to not buy it!

    This modem worked for 1 day before it quit. I called Netgear and they said the modem firmware was corrupt and to return it. I have had great success with Netgear products in the past but I did not trust this model. Returned for another Manf. modem which has worked for a month now without any problems.

    Didn’t last the setup due to a faulty driver. I returned it the same day it was delivered. My previous Netgear modem was great for 3 years but due to 5G and other network updates I needed to upgrade.

    Went to power cycle the modem because internet was slow. Unplugged it and plugged it back in. Powered on and all the lights flash rapidly and nothing ever happens. Completely bricked. Worked good when it was working.

    Didnt work brand new band ethernet port

    I bought this item brand new, i tried setting it up from home with comcast and it would not work. I followed the directions and it didnt work. Then i spoke to netgear customer service (which was a nightmare and noone spoke english) then I had xinfinty send an agent to my house to set it up and they yold me the ethernet port on the device was faulty. It was a nightmare scenario from start to finish. I was not happy and purchased a different modem!

    It gave great speeds at first but then declined a lot. From speeds of 500 to 750 Mbps then to 86 Kbps to 20 Mbps. I ended up returning this item and getting a separate modem and router. This modem router combo is unstable. I do not recommend this.

    I've always been a Netgear guy, but this unit seems to have slowed my network down. It also requires a monthly reboot of the entire network to clear out the cobwebs.

    Failed to Communicate Properly with Spectrum

    Bought this modem to replace a Spectrum modem that died. Would not communicate properly with Spectrum. Would start out with full speed and then speed would continuously decline over 30 minutes to a couple of hours as the event log filled with errors until it had to be unplugged and plugged back in. Obtained new Spectrum modem which maintains full internet speed.

    Absolute joke. I've had this router for 3 months, and it decides to just stop working. Got the "all lights flashing" issue that can't be fixed. Looking at the forums, seems this happened to quite a few people over the Christmas holiday, and its directly related to a hardware issue. My wife and I work remotely and we're stuck without internet now. (Yes, I submitted a ticket, but this kind of stuff shouldn't happen considering the money it costs, and they also want you to purchase support, when the issue is their product). Putting my review up to hopefully expedite this getting resolved. Best Buy & Netgear, it's in your court...

    I’ve had it for a while and I’ve constantly my internet using the Ethernet cable and Wi-Fi constantly have to plug and unplug it’s ridiculous for the amount of money I paid for it

    Product failed just outside of a year. The modem worked great for that year but I experienced a problem that appears to be common with this item. After a power outage or brown out the unit appears to have become damaged and now no longer works. At power up all of the lights flash rapidy white. Netgear support is non existent for this product. No resolve noted on any forums, ect.

    The first modem only gave speeds of 500mbs and died within 2 weeks. Decided to give it anothe chance and bought the same one again and it broke within 2 days. Once the modem breaks all lights flash repeatedly and reset button doesn't work. Don't buy.

    As Comcast was upgrading the gigabit speeds and I was moving thought I would upgrade to this modem. I put it in and it worked for a few minutes. Then it started saying my ethernet connection was at 10 mbps vs 1000, then after another few hours all lights started blinking and it would no longer work! Tried resetting, checking with Comcast, etc. Reinstalled my old model (CM1200) and no issues. This was returned and decided I didn't need an upgrade.
