Not as speedy as expected. My iphone connects to my router at 400 mbps and PC at 20 mbps. I got this device which speeds my PC to 100 mbps in an inconsistent way. Also after the PC sleeps and wakes up, the connection takes 2 mins to establish

I bought this as I was having problems connecting to the internet. Best Buy personal suggested this device to bypass my normal channel for connecting to the internet. HOWEVER, they did not tell me I needed a CD drive to install it. I do not have a CD drive on my computer, so, it sits in the original box, unused. I didn't ask enough questions and relied on expert advice. My mistake that I won't make again.

The box says it works for Mac OS 1.8.3 or later, but no luck with Catalina 1.15.. Ended up spending an hour with their help desk and finally, they agreed it does not work.

I replaced this 2 times on tried it on 2 laptops pairing with a NETGEAR router. Did not get the top speeds that a cheap USB adapter provided.

The wifi adapter itself is ok. Gets a decent enough signal although a really thought it would allow a faster signal. I get 900+Mbps bandwidth & at about 30 ft the adapter is only getting around 50mbps. Which is good enough but I'd like better. The real problem with this adapter though is not the adapter, it's the Netgear Genie app that the installation disk uses. It's trash. Constantly loses signal & only allows the 2.4 ghz band, so no dual band. You have to pull the drivers from the Netgear program then delete the rest of the app. Then the adapter works as intended. It's easy to do & I'm sure you can find a YouTube video to walk you through it. It's just beyond me why Netgear won't fix this!

Ipurchased this wireless adapter in an attempt to upgrade my speeds for my desk top. Sorry that I ever spent the money on it. It dropped signal all of the time. I checked tech support for help but there was nothing there. Finally gave up and went back to my other model (6210) and it works fine. I definately will not reccomend this to anyone.

I was not able to use this because my company computer would not allow drivers to be added to the system. When you install this unit, you are required to install a driver. This item should be plug and play! If it had been plug and play, I would've been able to try this out instead of returning it back to the store.

Don’t buy if you don’t have a nighthawk router.

Has two bands or antenna or something that it “alternates” between, without a nighthawk specific router, all this does is cause internet drops that were happening every few minutes, making gaming (funnily enough; what these are designed for) impossible. 0/10 would not buy or recommend to a friend. I’ve tried two of these things. Spent hours troubleshooting and ultimately found out that they don’t work well unless they’re paired with NightHawk routers, which makes sense to a point. But in a world of workarounds and different solutions, being finicky and only performing as intended with your own family of products makes for dissatisfied customers, and I’m not exception. All this made me do is abandon wireless altogether, relocate my pc, and now I play with a wired connection and have dropped once in about 6 months.
