    Not perfect, but it works.

My computer’s motherboard doesn’t have wifi built in, so I purchased this. Since my computer couldn’t download the software from the internet to run this, I had to use a different laptop to download then copy the software to a flash drive, then finally plug the flash drive into my computer for this to work. Computer is about 50ft away from wifi router, through a couple walls, with decent reception. Almost perfect but it loses WiFi connectivity at least once a day for a minute.

    Bulky and no big deal

This unit is bulky, and I can receive nearly identical up and down transmission speeds with an adapter the size of a laptop mouse dongle. The good part of this adapter is the USB 3.0 connection which will make your WiFi connection snappier than using a USB 2.0 connection. The deal breaker for me was that installing the driver software included with this adapter dramatically increased both the startup and shutdown times of my desktop computer. I hated that, and returned the adapter for that reason.

I've was using the cheap asus wifi adapter and i was able to connect at my apartment free wifi but I kept buffering and getting disconnected. So I decided to try this 1. I asked a few of the workers there and they basically told me there wasn't really a difference between the two THEY DON'T KNOW CRAP but I decided to go for it and give it a try. What's the worst that could happen i'd return it. Definitely worth the money but buy it somewhere else. Those ppl don't know a thing very SAD.

It works well. Connection has hiccups every so often that our other computer (same room, same desk, in fact) does not seem to have with its built in wifi. For an adapter though, it works well, and doesnt take up all that much toom. I have it sitting on top of the tower.

Got the job done. I needed good internet connection on my pc with a bad wireless card. The set up was easy and it worked right over my previous card. A little more expensive than the other options but i just wanted something to work well.

Okay so I'm in love with this adapter. It's the best on the market, hands down. I've tried all of these tiny 'nano usb' adapters, and while the do work, the performance especially far away from the router is terrible. When I plugged this bad boy in, I noticed speed increases from 30-40 MBps with my old Asus Nano USB adapter all the way up to 220MBps. Its amazing. Could not ask for more, the price difference is totally worth it.

Good for adding wifi to a PC without

I got this for my PC build because it turned out that my tower and mobo didn't have room for both my dual-slot GPU and a wi-fi card, and my room doesn't have any ethernet outlets so wired was a no-go. I've only been using it for two days but so far it works great ! Nice and speedy, stable connection so far, and the rubber grips on the base work pretty well to keep it in place. It's a little spendy for my wallet, but I think it'll be worth it.

Used this for muy gaming pc. Was worried about the lag on games. I have FIOS 150 mbps downloads. After I installed this and did the internet speed test, the results were just about the same as when it was hardwired. 145-150 mbps downloads speeds with this wifi adapter. Very happy and would recommend.

Best Wireless Adapter you can buy!

For those of you doing over wireless file transfers and or online gaming, this is the card to get. I do large amounts of over wireless/network file transfers back and forth to my file server and I used to have a TP-Link T9UH AC1900 adapter but that did not have MIMO and I was only getting about 35mbps for file transfers. With this new Nighthawk wireless adapter I am getting 100mbps file transfers over wireless! That's a huge difference! And it's all because of the 3x4 MIMO that the Nighthawk A7000 has. BE AWARE, your router also has to support MIMO or you won't get the faster transfer speeds, I have a Netgear Nighthawk X6 AC3200 router so it has the MIMO (Single User or SU not Multiuser or MU which is the next gen AC). I also do lots of FPS online gaming and this does great for that. Overall I HIGHLY recommend this USB wireless adapter if you are looking to get the fastest wireless speeds.

This is a great product for folks with legacy laptops and desktops that are not equipped to operate wirelessly on a 5.0ghz level. Because it is true a plug and play device, in mere minutes I went from 20 mbps to over 200 mbps. This device is well worth money.

WOW! This is exactly what I needed! Recently upgraded to fiber optic 1G WIFI speeds and unfortunately I cannot hardwire my pc into the router due to it being in a completely different floor of the house. This device reaches my mid level (Netgear ax1800) router that is while its located in the BASEMENT and about 400 feet away from the router while being UNDERNEATH it. My PC is in the basement and is currently boasting speeds just off of WIFI in the 650-700Mbps Download and around 400Mbps upload. ONLY issue I had was with the driver install due to my PC not having an Optical Drive. So BEWARE if you do not have an optical drive (CD/DISK reader) you will need to go to the website and download the driver.

Bought this to help my PC get better connection due to the fact my router is in another room. Was fairly easy to set up but ended up making my connection to games even worse. Every 5-10 seconds my game would violently lag, and customer support has given no help. Will be returning this tommorow
