While it works most of the time, mine disconnects a lot. I've heard this is a common problem with this particular item. I switched it from my back USB port to one of my front ones and it seems to work better, but for $70, it should work - no questions asked.

Bought 2 previously: one for my husband and one for me. Great for us with home wifi for our needs. Son came home from school after graduation and bought him one. No lag time or any complaints. Great product I would recommend to anyone!

Works amazing with the router across the house. I am able to get good signal with the adapter so I can mount it on my desk instead of behind the computer.

I needed something to replace my internal wi-fi with antennas that kept disconnecting on me. This device was a perfect replacement. I haven't had any problems yet. It comes with an base and USB extender, which is necessary for me, as it would stick way out from the PC if I just plugged into a USB port.

My boyfriends house is “WiFi challenged”, as he says, and his PC’s built in network card was insufficient for connecting to the internet. It wouldn’t even pick up his routers signal or any signal nearby. Since purchasing this device, we are able to keep his computer connected without any hiccups.

Tested a couple different internet speed test sites and the performance is within 5% of wired on my Windows 10 PC. Also have the Nighthawk X6 R8000. I wanted to move my router to a different part of the house and did not want to pull ethernet cables. This was a great option.

I got a refurbished computer and it was not set up for WiFi and I did not know what to do. I asked my granddaughter and she told me about this product she set it up in 10 minutes and it works great. I would really recommend this to anyone and the price was pretty good too.

This adapter preforms well for the money. I find on my home network setup it matches the performance of the power-line setup I was using before to get internet to my desktop. I would make sure your router is at least dual band in-order to take advantage of speed this WiFi adapter can provide.

Works great installed on my computer to get better signal to my router and it's a noticable difference and the speeds are faster.

My gaming laptop kept dropping Wifi connection, so I bought this Netgear adapter. Installation was a breeze, the adapter works well and I no longer get random disconnects in the middle of a boss fight. It's on a larger side, I wouldn't recommend it as a portable device. But for a stationary computer it's excellent.

Are carrier upgraded our Wi-Fi. Daughter was in able to use her Wi-Fi on her laptop. Call support they said we would have to take it in to a computer shop. Daughter told me that net gear had this product so she'd be able to use her computer set it up only took 5 minutes and Wallah works just like it says.

Works as advertised as I occasionally need to have my desktop running off cellular hot spot for work if home internet is down for whatever reason (ISP related). The Netgear Genie software looks like it was written in 2007 though, and leaves much to be desired.

Definitely recommend if your desktop does not have wireless connection. Tried other brand adapters and was getting terrible speed this one works well.

We have a motherboard that is Ethernet only so this was able to help connect to the wifi. It was great and didn’t take too much space.

Great adapter for a mixed PC/Mac environment. On Win7/8/10 you need drivers same for Mac OS 10.8.3+ plus some permission issues you need to resolve as per the manufacturers website. The cradle and USB cord allow you to place the unit for best reception. Or simply use it in stick mode.

Previously had a switch in the home which allowed for convenient access to wired internet service for our higher end workstations and printers. This has allowed a CAD rendering workstation with speeds that almost equal previously wired connections. Would definitely purchase again!

I recently bought this adapter to replace one I left behind when I moved to a new state. It's easily swappable between laptop, desktop, gaming setup, etc. Always gets a great signal no matter where in the house you use it. Highly recommend!

Works as it should, and it was easy to setup. Has helped our household stay connected, even when everyone was on the internet.

My son built a gaming desktop but we didnt get a wifi card because it was hardwired. Well we moved and couldn't hard wire anymore. Bought him a cheap adapter and he couldnt get more than 15mbps on a good day, we have 100mbps. With the new adapter he is getting up near 80mbps. Much happier!

I bought this adapter to plug into my desktop from 2008 (that doesn't have Wi-Fi capability by itself). My desktop gets the Wi-Fi signal without any problems now, and it runs like a much younger computer. This is a high-quality adapter that exceeded my expectations. It was worth every penny!
