I got this for my newly built pc because my motherboard did not have included wifi, only ethernet. So I had to get this. The moment I installed it, it was really fast at the time. Web pages would load up really quickly and I was able to get my school work done in an orderly fashion. Now going into 2021, until now, my adapter is starting to degrade. It has gotten slower over time. Speed has actually decreased on internet browsing and good grief, this thing sucks when it comes to gaming. My ping would always spike due to the fact that I was not getting a strong signal. It would be connected, but the performance was just terrible. I was not getting the advertised speeds that was shown on the box. If you plan on doing any gaming on this adapter, do not buy this. Any game I play, such as fortnite, apex legends, warzone, or even rocket league, my ping would always spike, especially in fortnite, which happens very often, and I plan on doing some competitive matches soon. If you plan on only doing work related tasks such as school work, this is a go. I will be switching to ethernet soon. Don't buy this unless you are doing just work related taasks.

This Wi-Fi adapter really gets you into 5G territory. This is the higher end model from NETGEAR but worth the price. My motherboard didn't support 5G. However, after installing this adapter I have the speed now.

The software was easy to install and easy to connect. For me, I don't have much loss for network speed. I have had 0 packet loss. Only downside is that it's huge, so I have to use the base, but that's no reason to knock a star.

I get almost no lag even tho i'm on the opposite side of my house where the router is at! Worth the investment for SURE!

I was looking for a good wireless adapter so I could run my desktop computer from another room and it worked perfect, glad I spent the extra money. PS I had an older computer that was not wireless that's why I needed it.

I went from 30-50 MBPS on a cheap usb adapter to over 300 using this!

BEST Wi-Fi Adapter I have used on my gaming PC. Have not experienced any lag since using this.

Works great most of the time but sometimes when my computer turns on it takes a while to connect

Good for long range connections and picks up high speed connections across the house.

This adapter will give you pretty fast speeds for a wifi adapter. Streaming/videos and downloading has never been faster.

I love not having the wires any longer I love having connecting to my laptop or my computer and then it's connecting to my house it's made it to where I have Wi-Fi now through my entire house wonderful product

This works great when paired with the 1900 wifi extender. no data loss or anything. I would inform you to turn of the usb auto controls. Works a lot faster this way. Can find out how on the internet with ease.

For price paid this is a really great, user friendly product. The only pain is that is doesn't come with a disc or anything to install the driver so you need to find a way to get onto the Internet to download the driver onto a flash drive and transfer it to the device you're trying to install this unit on. Easy for a techy person but might be a little much for a "layman".

Plugged into desktop and installed drivers and immediately prompted to update and speeds were great! Was able to get on sale, but is a little expensive otherwise. Great form factor for the power you get.

Easy setup, appears to be stable (if comcast is doing it's job). A great alternative to hard wiring ethernet for desktop and a heck of a lot cheaper!

This thing is as fast as you're going to get for WiFi. Getting anywhere from 300-500 mb/s from my Gigabit speeds and using it in a place where hardwiring is not optional.

Moved my PC from one room to another and I’m cutting down my cable management problem by switching to a WiFi adapter. This thing is a beast! Let be honest…if you pay for Gigabit Internet you’re gonna want this device. Remember, it won’t give you more bandwidth than you pay your ISP for…but if you pay $100 a month for your internet service…this will keep you happy!

Good WiFi adapter but they need to take into account that dvd drives are mostly redundant. Stop putting drives on CD’s and either make your product compatible out the box, or spend the extra couple bucks to put drivers on a flash storage device in-box. It sorta defeats the purpose that I’ve got to connect to the internet to download drivers for this device that’s supposed to help me connect to the internet (I.e. a newly built computer with its Ethernet drivers not working)

If you can’t direct connect and you game this is a must.
