great router for someone who wants the best. if you get internet provided through a cable company like timewarner I recommend purchasing a router you will end up saving money in the long run. this router is by far better than any router that will be provided to you if you decided to rent one through the cable company. in addition the genie app makes it very easy to use and change settings.

After renting router/modem for over a year, I decided to just buy my own & it was a great decision! I'm actually pulling more speed now with 4 devices connected, then I did before with only 3 devices. Netgear's free customer service was outstanding & quick to resolve my problem when I called; the problem was user error (me) & had nothing to do with the product itself.

I have been dealing with poor signal throughout my home with Comcast provided modems router combos. In my search I came across this gem. After reading reviews I decided to make the investment (the price is very steep in my opinion) and go with it. I was pleasantly surprised. Not only did the wireless signal reach my problem areas, it exceeds them. I also am pulling higher speeds than normal.

Works alot better and larger coverage. My last NETGEAR Router wouldn't reach to my front yard nor to my far back yard. I was afraid I would have to buy new extenders w/this one. BUT NO. It gives awesome coverage for all my cameras and wifi connections. Would buy again. Can't say that for everything...

The setup is easy. The modem is fast. The range is very good.

This router is blazing fast and reliable. My last one was a Motorola and needed daily rebooting. This one has been solid and fast.

Our router died, so we opted to replace with a modem/router combo to avoid the monthly fee with our provider. The device was easy to install and works great. We did have an issue connecting the device initially due to a defect, but had no issues with the exchange and the Netgear help team were friendly and efficient.

High dependalble speed. 90-day free tech support if needed. I doubt I will ever use it. I did when I first purchased it and they set it up with all the bells and whistles for me in 5 minutes.

Have Spectrum for internet and the WIFI kept dropping - up to 10 times a day. Went to Best Buy and the salesperson said this is one of the best for the price. Told me it was easy to setup and should not have any problems. Only problem I had was with Spectrum, they had to send someone to connect it because they did not think it was compatible. FYI - it's compatible. So now my WIFI doesn't drop anymore and my speed is better.

Brought it home and it was garbage. I noticed the one I gotta had firmware version 1.13. I went back to the store and exchanged it for one with 1.14 (printed on the box). Worked flawlessly and still use it today after 3 years. Make sure you don't get one with an older firmware!

Replacing one that is 2-3 yrs old. Same model I had. Old one still worked but it was starting to drop the signal or cause lag in my online game randomly. Make sure you register it online through Netgear before calling you internet provider to give them the router information, including the MAC address.

I would strongly advise anyone to buy this item, it works just as quick at Comcast/Xfinity modem and in less that a couple of months it will pay for itself. Yeah!!! I love it and there is absolutely no difference in my reception or internet speed If you want to stop pay $13 a month for rental of your cable modem buy this one!

Great wifi router for work and home . Sig alg automatically turned off to for VoIP calls. Having to use it to work from whilr Covid19 in effect. Has been wifi signal in 2.5 GHz than my old one. 5 GHz pretty good but router down stairs and office upstairs. But no issues with 2 bars on 5 GHz. Great route for the price .

Modem works well Sparklight/New Wave in ID. Router has much more range than expected. We have had 2 power outages and Modem / Router reset without issue. Have not needed to reset router / modem in the 7 weeks I have been using it. Would purchase again and have recommended it to friends and family.

Excellent wifi cable modem faster and very easy to install

I wanted a product with the speed and power to handle multiple people, primarily my grandkids with all of their traveling electronics, and still have enough left over for TV and game downloads and Nest Cam uploads. This is the one to get. Installed easily, had clear instructions on putting it in charge of my network, and everything easily paired wirelessly. This is a great product.
