Here's the deal: this thing handles the workload for my house pretty well. We have three smart phones, two laptops, and a video streaming player. I don't think we've had all going at the same time, but at any point 3 will likely be. No lags anymore, and I haven't seen any buffering. I'm pleased there. I gave it 4 stars because even though I have 100mps service, I never get more than 20-30mps constant, with spikes of 45-55mps. Maybe I expect too much?

I only have Cox's 300 mbps internet speed but this modem has allowed me to reach 290 mbps on a speed test wired connection and up to 120 mps wireless. Real decent for every day use, probably not for hardcore gamers, wirless connection on ps4 is incredibly slow to download COD updates

This is a combo modem/wireless router and it is fast! I wanted to stop paying that notorious $10 per month fee for "modem rental" and buy my own that had my own specs. I could have bought them separate, and that's what a lot of people do But with this combo one, you get the benefit of an awesome modem AND a Nighthawk wireless router.

Bought this when our Comcast rented modem crapped out. Easy set up and loving the faster speed though just an FYI if you have Comcast while they no longer charge for a rental they do tack on an extra fee for faster speed so they get you one way or the other.

I’m glad I purchase this as compared to 4 other options and even this is really good when it comes to considering best quality to use in mid size house and you really don’t need any other items to connect your entire house

I upgraded my xfinity provided router with this device to facilitate more effective streaming. I can run 3 apple tv's 3 tablets and 3 phones and a couple of laptops at the same time now without anything loading slow. Note I had to change the primary channels to transmit on a different frequency from neighbors...not hard to do..very user friendly

Bought this Netgear Cable Modem with Router as a single device to stop paying extra to rent a similar device from Xfinity! It is very easy to setup and have no issues with it. 100% recommend it if you want to save paying a monthly rent to your Internet Service Provider

A decent alternative to renting equipment from service provider.

I liked this router but i had to return it because it didnt work at my apartment. I ended up getting a different netgear but it was really good just didnt need the extra features,

Works great. I was having issues with my separate modem and router where the router kept resetting itself. I tried a new modem and router separately and still had issues. I tried buying this all in one unit and it solved the problem. I recommend this modem/router.

Instead of renting a router of crap quality..buy your own. This one has impressed me beyond my expectations. Hook up ethernet if possible to tv and say roku or whatever else you want to run and stream without buffering. I recommend this router to anyone.

Nice quality and does a good job. The set up process was a little lacking and confusing. Someone needs to rewrite the set up process as I has Comcast/ xfinity and the instructions to connect did not work. Finally had to contact Comcast thru chat and have them remove my old modem/router MAC address so Comcast could see the new modem/router.
