So I have been working from home for almost 3 years now, with an older model Netgear that was always losing signal and was on its last leg. I decided that it wasn't going to fix itself so it was time to upgrade. I have security cameras, tablets, computers, televisions and streaming boxes as well as cell phones that all use my signal in my home. So it was important to me to have both 2.4 and 5 available to use since I only had 2.4 on the old one and it seemed to bottleneck. Took about a half hour to install, navigate the settings and get it set to my specifications. Now I have all my low tech gear like my sons tablet, cameras and cell phones on the 2.4 and the computers, tv, gaming systems and streaming boxes on the 5. I have not had any issues buffering, lag or bottlenecking anymore. I did go in and check the channels in my neighborhood so that I knew which ones had the most traffic and avoided those. You can set it to automatically choose a channel, but i found that it always tended to go to the most frequently used ones where traffic was highest and that slowed it down. Now that I have it on less used channels, I have no issues at all. I have a super fast connection with ethernet, and have not had a problem at all since I purchased this model. When I have to upgrade in the future, it will be another Netgear, and if Nighthawk has another dual or even tri-band, it will be mine.

Great value and works excellently! Had to replace my old Nighthawk from 2017, this did the trick! Woof had been struggling for a while, frequently cutting in and out a few times a day. Now it doesn’t, and everything runs smoother than it used to. Would definitely recommend.

I had a really nice arris surfboard before this that I got on a good sale, it got burnt up in a storm. So this was in my price range and had all the specs I was looking for, and overall it work really well. My only complaint. And reason it’s not 5 is the netgear genie app does not have the same functionality. There was more personalization and control with the Arris for devices. Some of it can be gained back through the web interface, but it was nicer to have on the app. Still a good product, good range on the WiFi, fast speeds, fast setup.

Improved my internet service (speed) etc. Product was easy to install & easy to use. I have very little experience and/or knowledge of the operation of modems etc. After research of many modem/router combos I chose the Netgear - Nighthawk praying it would be a good one. I'm very satisfied. If you are a single lady with no one around to help you with this kind of thing buy this one

This was the faster cable modem they had. I have not had any issues with it. Setup was quick. I was able to do an at home setup with a new Comcast account. I was able to avoid the in home service fee and monthly rental. Plus I get a much better modem than what Comcast offers.

The router seems very powerful. I live in a multi-family townhome and I have no issues with other users Wifi affecting this unit. In addition, I am often able to access my own network from the Street. Set-up very easy with a Phone App or using a Web Browser. No drops of service so far - hardest part was trying to convince Comcast that the device was brand new. They were trying to say they couldn't authenticate the MAC address.

Good modem router combo. The speeds were great and had no issues setting up. We use cox and this was compatible

Had my combo Netgear-Nighthawk dual-band modem & router for nearly a month now and couldn't be happier. Was a breeze to get set-up and going. Former combo unit only had the 2.4 Ghz band, now I have that and the faster 5 Ghz speed. Did a speed test and getting better than what Xfinity said I would and I have no problem with reception anywhere in our nearly 3000 sq ft condo. Great unit, Great price, Great results.

Works great and fast speed easy to set up and works with Spectrum.No problems.

Being work and stay at home I wanted to upgrade internet for the 4 of us. Unit was easy to install and setup, had to have Spectrum out after we upgraded the internet as I wasn't getting the appropriate speeds. Now everything is much stabler and we can all do Zoom for meetings and gaming without much lag.

Works perfectly. Range for WiFi is solid. Have several devices connected at once without issue.

Very impressed with the performance of this gateway, noticeable improvement in my internet connection and speed so I'm getting more of my money's worth and enjoying 4k streaming much more efficiently and stronger. Only criticism is their nighthawk app, it's not functional at all and remains stuck saying my firmware is out of date but then their people don't know how to fix this issue, told me my firmware is updated but there's a bug with the app but they haven't fixed it yet

I moved in June and have not had cable since, the cable and dish companies ran cables along the outside of my new place. So I buried the cable and brought it through the utility room , and place the modem/router on a shelf above the washer. I had talked to the cable company and sales man at Bestbuy, I plugged everything in and created a account and it started working right away. Excellent signal strength all over the house and no buffering.

This is perfect for limiting multiple devices in your home. It is super easy to set up. We have multiple decides hooked up to this router/modem and it works great! Also, the price is great!! We actually thought your router/modem was going out and we bought the same exact one...come to find out, it was a squirrel that ruined our internet connection, so we now just have a back-up!

I finally replaced the modem I was renting from Comcast! I’m more than happy with this Netgear. I get coverage throughout my entire home with out needing extenders. My wife is working from home, and we have to have reliable service on the lower level, where her office is. Thanks to Bestbuy for suggesting this modem/router. I made the right choice.
