Bought this when switching from DSL to Cable internet to avoid Comcast monthly rental fee. While this modem is more than Comcast provides as far as lanes, the WIFI range is awesome. Previous DSL modem had to have a range extender. This modem sits in the basement and covers the entire house and some of our yard.

Works great and fast speed easy to set up and works with Spectrum.No problems.

The router seems very powerful. I live in a multi-family townhome and I have no issues with other users Wifi affecting this unit. In addition, I am often able to access my own network from the Street. Set-up very easy with a Phone App or using a Web Browser. No drops of service so far - hardest part was trying to convince Comcast that the device was brand new. They were trying to say they couldn't authenticate the MAC address.

This was the faster cable modem they had. I have not had any issues with it. Setup was quick. I was able to do an at home setup with a new Comcast account. I was able to avoid the in home service fee and monthly rental. Plus I get a much better modem than what Comcast offers.

Very impressed with the performance of this gateway, noticeable improvement in my internet connection and speed so I'm getting more of my money's worth and enjoying 4k streaming much more efficiently and stronger. Only criticism is their nighthawk app, it's not functional at all and remains stuck saying my firmware is out of date but then their people don't know how to fix this issue, told me my firmware is updated but there's a bug with the app but they haven't fixed it yet

Being work and stay at home I wanted to upgrade internet for the 4 of us. Unit was easy to install and setup, had to have Spectrum out after we upgraded the internet as I wasn't getting the appropriate speeds. Now everything is much stabler and we can all do Zoom for meetings and gaming without much lag.

I finally replaced the modem I was renting from Comcast! I’m more than happy with this Netgear. I get coverage throughout my entire home with out needing extenders. My wife is working from home, and we have to have reliable service on the lower level, where her office is. Thanks to Bestbuy for suggesting this modem/router. I made the right choice.

Had my combo Netgear-Nighthawk dual-band modem & router for nearly a month now and couldn't be happier. Was a breeze to get set-up and going. Former combo unit only had the 2.4 Ghz band, now I have that and the faster 5 Ghz speed. Did a speed test and getting better than what Xfinity said I would and I have no problem with reception anywhere in our nearly 3000 sq ft condo. Great unit, Great price, Great results.

This is perfect for limiting multiple devices in your home. It is super easy to set up. We have multiple decides hooked up to this router/modem and it works great! Also, the price is great!! We actually thought your router/modem was going out and we bought the same exact one...come to find out, it was a squirrel that ruined our internet connection, so we now just have a back-up!

When I got this modem, I was absolutely shocked at the download speed wirelessly along with the reliability of this modem. It never disconnects ever and is very stable! This modem is a must buy if your modem is problematic and the range on this modem for our 1,000 square foot house eliminated the other modem that we used to have as a wood extender. Great buy.

this modem router in ONE is super easy to install and works excellent. Though its pricier, i recommend this product over other modems. You could lease modem throught your internet provider but when you do the math over 12 months lease VS buying your own modem, it already pays itself. no hassles if you want to modem to another home

I moved in June and have not had cable since, the cable and dish companies ran cables along the outside of my new place. So I buried the cable and brought it through the utility room , and place the modem/router on a shelf above the washer. I had talked to the cable company and sales man at Bestbuy, I plugged everything in and created a account and it started working right away. Excellent signal strength all over the house and no buffering.

This router/modem combo is amazingly fast and easy to use right out of he box! Great range!

The netgear is a first for me on this brand I like the convenience of no separate router and is performing well.

My intent when I went to Best Buy was to purchase some type of booster for my slow commercial router (provided by my internet provider); the commercial router was also costing over $10 a month. Best Buy employee recommended the Netgear in lieu of any type of booster and boy am I glad she did. Netgear has increased my internet connection speed, been 100% reliable, and is saving me $10 a month. It is well worth the investment.

One of the easiest setups I have ever experienced. My other cable router was piling up error messages and needed to be recycled way too often. Using Comcast as my ISP and was able to be back online within 30 minutes of initial power-up. Fantastic speeds, this is "user friendliness" as its best.
