I originally had the C7000 modem/router to use in an old three story building and it was having difficulty reaching from the third floor down to the first floor. I decided to try a higher end model hoping it would provide the boost in range I needed and boy did this product deliver. Not only did it expand on the range that I have for wireless devices but in network speeds for transferring data also increased. It also gives me more hard wired connectivity which to me is a huge plus as it has four ethernet ports.

Why pay the cable companies to rent their modems? This is compatible with all standards and speeds.

This is a great modem/router. A little thick to self manage until setup but does offer instant setup or pre-configuration. I'm sure it will be better once I get the configuration down.
