I love it! The app is amazing to turn on devices and control whom gets access to your WiFi service. It’s easy to use! The speed is great! You get three options for WiFi joining. 5gh , 2.5 gh, or guest network. This is definitely an option I recommend if you want to own your modem VS renting it from the cable company

I bought this to replace an old N300 unit and cable modem whos time had come. I love the fact that the installation was very simple. From unpacked box to full operation took only a few minutes, and that included syncing it with my internet provider. Very strong signal everywhere in my house. Now the kids can watch Netflix upstairs without it pausing every 3 min to load.
However, the NetGenie software is not what I was hoping for. It has an app for your phone, but you have to be in wifi range of it. It does finally allow you to block access for certain devices, but only if those devices are currently trying to connect to it. So I can't block my sons tablet unless he's trying to log on. It would be nice if it stored a list of devices that I could go in and regulate whether they are allowed to connect or not or their level of parental filtering. I was hoping to be able to control wifi devices from farther distances (ie-work) so that i can block access to tablets and DS's before homework is done and we are home from work. The only way to do that is to shut off ALL wireless access in the morning before I leave, but then that shuts off my access to my thermostat, and security cameras as well, and I dont want to do that.
So I guess the device gets 5 stars, but the poorly written software takes it down to 4.

Don't let anyone talk you out of buying this modem router… It's excellent You won't need anything faster… Because there are not any services that are faster! LOL
Works great… Works great with my 325 MB a second download

Bought this to use with Xfinity. Works really great without and connections issues till now. No need for separate Modem and Router when you can everything in one.
Connected more than 6 devices (4 phones, 1 Ipad, I Nintendo Switch and 1 TV) and all worked well. So happy with the purchase.

installed it on 12-21 and re-established a better connection for my Dell Inspiron 7577 Gaming laptop and now have my own Wi-Fi connection for my phones and in my room in the house which I run a 75' foot ethernet cable upstairs to my room and then use the 2.4ghz for my Ps4 which works great gives a stable connection. As for my phones on the 5.0ghz channel it runs faster then ever since I now have my own dedicated connection. I am very happy with my purchase. Even a Spectrum tech came out to service the unstable connection in the house and it was due to the extra line of cable being toggled on and off while it was not connected to any signal it was causing the main line downstairs for the modem to be unstable and kept dropping the connection and yet my family tried to blame it on me buying new equipment and they were proven wrong and told by a technician I bought the best you can buy!

This modem works plug and play with a lot of providers, if not - you may just need to go to your provider's site and activate. been working great with no loss of connectivity, no slow downs or restarts needed.

This modem dual band router works very well I subscribe to a 150 Mbps service I consistently get right at 150-160 Mbps with this. logging into the main menu is easy so you can control your SSID broadcast and control who can see it, you can even set up a guest network if you like. I recommend this as an option over renting from your local provider.

Solid speed and signal. The only gripe i have with this is that there was a slight power flux in my house for a millisecond and it reset this modem/router back to its factory settings. Fortunately the factory wifi name and password are stickied to the bottom of the nighthawk router. Definitely consider getting a UPS power supply for this router.

Fantastic wireless connections in large 2 story house (9 devices are going at once). Great speed tests. Replaced Comcast modem/router and it's faster. I recommed this Netgear Nighhawk Dual band modem/router to anyone that it's compatible with their ISP. Never have to reboot the Netgear Nighthawk. Easy to install but you have to call your ISP to give them the MAC address and it's done. 5 STARS!

This item is Router and WiFi two in one. So, the price is cheaper compare to buy a router and WiFi separately. And usually, a cheap WiFi 6 does not include 2.4G WiFi for an old computer, printer, camera, or other devices. Before, my download speed was 3M/s, but now is 14 - 15 M/s. So it did increase my internet speed.

Was having Major issues for too many months with optimum's service and modem/router, so I picked up this Nighthawk unit from Netgear. My service is now greatly improved and 1) I like the fact that I'm no longer renting the modem/router from optimum and 2) I'm now able to see reports on my connection, speed, traffic, and channels.

My second NetGear modem/router combo. Easy to setup. First one lasted 9 years. Might have been affected by lightning as it went out suddenly. Price increased by about 40% over that time.

I wanted an upgrade for my home wireless, and didn't want to have to rent the modem, so... This Netgear - Nighthawk Ac1900 Dual-band Router With Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem - Black , C7000-100NAS was just the ticket. It's fast, multi channel, multi band and super easy to set up. My network came right up, except for some hiccups with a Windows 10 box, but that wasn't a Netgear issue; it was classic Windows control issues.

Had a housefire so we have been replacing many electronics in our home that had melted or been damaged from smoke and soot. We went right back to Netgear. We loved our previous one but bvb this newer model is even better as far as performance and ease of use. There are 4 ethernet ports which is great for the kids gaming.

Does what you need. Quicker speeds. Mine goes farther now. But make sure you turn off all the wifis that thing puts out. Don't need to be blasted with those 24/7. I just use the 2.4 Ghz and turned of the 5g. I don't know about y'all, but 5g sounds a little too strong to be around all day. Maybe I'm wrong, who knows? Someone probably does.

The good- it's fast and has plenty of reach and Ethernet ports. Speeds are ridiculously fast with Xfinity Comcast on 5G. Keeps up with my smart home too which almost my entire home is automated.
The bad- not able to use the nighthawk app for it. I was told by a salesman that I definitely could but no, this router doesn't support it. I really wanted a function to geofence my wifi as well but there is no ability with this. I want to be able to remotely turn it on and off but again, no. Can't do it.
