The best rated router was made in China - thus, I did not buy it. This product is not made in China - and was actually second in the on-line ratings. Easy to set up. Android app makes managing the device easy, and so far has performed flawlessly for a one piece cable modem and router. Even the cable installer was familiar with the product and stated it was a good purchase. Are ther better ones out there? Maybe, but I don't care because this item works great and reaches all corners of our 2007 sq. ft. one story house.

We were having a problem with our Time Warner Router. We have so many devices connected at one time to the internet, that during peak times, we would have major slowdowns on things that needed to have fast connections, like on-line games and movie streaming. This led to lots of lag and buffering. Once we replaced that modem with this one, all of our problems disappeared. It obviously handles a lot more devices at the same time, which is what we needed.

So far, has worked wonderfully for the house. Good range and good speed!

This modem is the best one I've ever had. The range is amazing. Very easy to setup. Avoid rental fees from your provider and buy one. Totally worth it.

I have purchased Netgear Products for the past 10+ years and have always been very satisfied with the signals I received from them, even if you are over at the neighbors. Strong signal. Have never had a failure with a need o take back to the store. However I do replace on my own accord every 2-3 years just to get the updated version. Now with the Nighthawk you can download Firmware Updates through the Nighthawk App on my iPhone. A truly great feature!

This modem / router has great speeds and area coverage. Easy installation and connects easy to wireless devices. Simple setup.

In researching Modem / Router Combo units that was compatible with Optimum to replace their separate units - this Netgear AC1900 was identified. In summary, it works great! Setup was easy. The longest part of the setup was Optimum Customer Service in that it took 45 minutes to have the new modem activated. The WiFi coverage is superior to the cable company's equipment in that I have whole house WiFi coverage at the Mbps speed that I expected.

At first I was considering buying the Apple Airport router due to good reviews, but it would've required me to also purchase a cable modem. This device does both of those things, takes up less space, and worked out of the box. The hardest part was talking to Comcast and explaining that I didn't need any of their hardware. Con: the app is confusing. I haven't looked closely but it wasn't intuitive and I haven't set a custom network name/password yet.

This is a great router and modem combo. Provides good speed for internet service and easy to setup with internet service.

Excellent speed exceeds 400mbps 0n two 2.5 and 5.0 ghz bands. Has wide coverage. Good support from netgear to instal and troubleshoot.

Excellent! Works with Xfinity! Easy to install. Just remember to change the WiFi to the Netgear WiFi and it’s password.

Bought this as a gift along with an additional Router for a very large house. I wanted to save them money on rental equipment, that often was having to be re-booted. And boost their services! Mission accomplished! Happy, Happy, Happy!!! The gift that should keep giving for the upcoming years! And saving money in the long run! Renting sucks!

It works so much better than last one. No problems. Reliable, strong signal. Only issues are with cable company, not product. Recommend this

This router beats the heck out of the one supplied by my cable provider it was supposed to handle up to 1 gb I only payed for 300 mb but never saw speeds over 195 mb and that was rare I also experienced so many lost connections I can't even begin to count. This router provides consistent speeds of 290 mb +or- 20 mb and I haven't lost a signal once not to mention the 13.00 dollars a month I save in rental fees. I would highly recommend this product. Very easy to hook up and get started. Seems to have lots of range and we haven't had a single issue whatsoever.
