This works good only for 2-4 devices. Range and speed is decent. Works good with Xfinity. One defect I observed when you are downloading any movie kind of file, we cannot browse or use other network applications effectively until the download is completed. At this time the network speed gets too slow. I did not see this defect when used router from Xfinity earlier using this one. If you are able to ignore this, other things works as expected.

Easy setup. Has an app to control wifi signals. 2 frequency channels for slow/longer range-2.4ghz and faster/shorter range-5ghz. No issues while using comcast internet service. The open plastic design helps with cooling, yet lets out more light from unit.

I purchased this item because my kids were complaining about lagging while they were gaming via X-Box One. I wanted to increase the signal capability of my internet connection and it has done just that. No more connection issues or weak signals using the modem provided by my cable provider. Very easy to set and my 14 yr old son was able to do it. Would highly recommend this product to anyone having issues or renting a modem that's not working. My kids haven't complained since I bought it.

Very easy to set up and it has pretty good range although I did purchase an extender just in case. The Nighthawk app makes set up for all of Netgear devices really simple the hardest part of set up was talking to my ISP about not using their crappy equipment anymore and it definitely pays for itself after about 10 months. I’d definitely purchase it again.

Excellent router and modem, I am an online gamer of the game Destiny. I do not lag anymore while gaming using this device. Get this device instead of borrowing one from Cox Cable. Cox Cable even lowered my monthly rate because of this device. Very pleased with performance.

I went through like 4 other modem/router combos. I have having 2 devices for 1 service. Other M/C combos had either a weak range or the wifi speeds were always awful. Went all out and got this bad boy and it was totally worth it range is great and the performance also is good at a distance. Some modems will have great speed while your close to the modem but when you are on the other side of the house the speed will drop. You won't have that issue with the nighthawk

Its a great upgrade for working from home, it wasn't hard to set up (literally plugging in the cords), and the app to finish setting it up was user friendly. It works with xfinity, no issues there.

Seems to be powerful enough for a house full of people and was VERY easy to set up. All of the needed numbers are stuck on the side and the password is hard-to-guess but memorable.

I bought this cable modem because my boss was having connectivity problems to the outside world. The cable internet provider said that the existing cable modem was likely the culprit, so I bought this one on the Best Buy salesperson's recommendation. I installed the modem and activated it, but the problem still existed. Turns out that it was the cable internet provider's fault all along. Once the provider's problem was fixed, my boss found that the WiFi on this model was WAY better than on his previous model, so he decided to keep it rather than to revert.
