This modem router combination functions as advertised. The signal is strong and we do not overwhelm this product with a large number of devices. I am discovering that a problem exists with Mediacom and the strength of the signal. The maintenance of a strong signal is required for this device to operate at full capacity. There seems to be a problem with our cable service. There will be more investigation on our end.

We didn't know how slow our old modem was until we installed this one. Excellent speed and connectivity now.

I was renting the basic router from my cable company paying every month for a router that didn't provide the service needed. After a service call to check said router technician adviced to stop paying for their router and invest on my own. After thinking about it made the decision and bought this from a local store, it was very easy to install and just like that my wifi went from barely getting signal to having the best signal up to about half a block away.

Product works better than the Xfinity provided modem/router but still isn’t perfect. With an infant and 2 year old, we stream their cameras when napping and overnight. It continually cuts in and out during the night. Not sure if it’s just too much action on one router but I wouldn’t think so. Still better than what we had before but I assume there could be better out there. Good for the price. Setup was very easy, app works fine.

This nighthawk router is superior to my previous netgear cable modem in every way, was dropping internet and couldn't log into modem with other one, but this modem is super easy and haven't dropped since I purchased, has plenty of wifi and internet strength to accommodate 3 people streaming or gaming at once with zero buffering, would highly recommend

Prior to getting the Nighthawk we had a much lighter weight modem and router. Our internet was spotty at times and live tv would freeze to catch up when we streamed. Alexa wouldn't work from time to time or would lose connection while playing music. Haven't had a single issue since we installed the Nighthawk. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to this if you have a lower grade modem or router.

I was skeptical after reading reviews that the set-up was going to be a task. Negative the whole set-up told under thirty minutes. I am so glad that I brought my own router now I can save $114 dollars a year from Comcast. Please make sure that you unplug Comcast router first before installing this one and plus plug it into the wall outlet and not surge, protector,

Do your research before purchasing any electronic device. I wanted the C7800 but the prices were high. This unit is a suitable replacement for my needs. Before purchasing a router/modem unit, understand that the lifespan is usually 4 years. The performance of this unit is much better than my previous modem (which was a lower end Netgear model). This unit comes highly recommended.

I purchased this as part of my "cutting the cable". For my tv's, equipped with Roku devices, to stream properly, I had to "up" my internet speed/connection. This was more than capable, with plenty of room to spare. I also wanted to save space and this modem/router combo does just that. Also, was at a good price. Be advised that my ISP is Xfinity/Comcast and it was necessary to contact them, to set this up. It was easy.

This modem has been reliable with no issues. With this modem, I receive consistent download and upload speeds through my cable Internet service. The 802.11ac WiFi works well and has great coverage across multiple floors. I only wish I could turn off the 2.4Ghz band. The modem allows you to change the name of the 2.4Ghz band and also hide it but you can’t turn it off.

The Nighthawk cable modem and router far exceeded my expectations. It was foolproof to setup and get connected with my internet provider and the speeds you can achieve with the WiFi will blow your mind! My ISP provided modem gave me, at the most, a 50mbps download speed. The Nighthawk however averages to around 200mbps. Make the switch, you won't be disappointed!
