Great wifi router. Im not very tech savy but the setup for this was crazy easy. Havent had any kind of problems whatsoever. Setup is upstairs in the bedroom and the signal reaches all over just fine.even to the outdoor cameras. Definitely recommend.

We cut the cord with cable several years ago and since the cable company never upgrades your modem but still charges you per month for it, I decided to cut another bill with them again. I purchased this modem which is strong enough for at least 3 cell phones, an additional wi-fi extender, tablets, and all of our streaming (2 roku's) and never boggs down, and no more black outs with Sling! Plus I saved over $10 a month off my internet bill. So worth purchasing your own modem! Extremely easy to set up had it hooked up and running in about 15 minutes.

For the small home I'm in it has great reach and does everything I need. If in a larger home or two story would not reccomend but otherwise it's great. The app is nice too gives a lot of control

This product was easy to setup and improved my download and upload speeds significantly, compared with the Ubee modem/router provided by TWC. Before I purchased this model, I had tried a similar model with 3 antennae that were adjustable. However, I noticed WiFi weak spots as I moved further from the router (2 story home). I was told the antennae were directional but would provide stronger signal where needed. Not True! I returned that model to Best Buy and bought this one. It has much better coverage with a strong WiFi signal in every part of the house.

I've got it working well now, but...

I initially got it set up very easily. That's the good. But a couple of weeks later, I noticed my IPv6 address was going stale. Even disappearing upon restarting. (and reappearing upon cycling power). I've got that solved now. [1] the VirtualBox "Bridge Networking" driver needed to be removed, by uninstalling+reinstalling VirtualBox with that adv option turned off . that was definitely causing the problem. also, [2] Norton firewall DHCPv6 and ICMPv6 settings seemed to be interfering (I'm not so sure). [3] I also set the Netgear Genie IPv6 Address Assignment to "use DHCP server" while fumbling+debugging. (Comcast). That turns out to be a good choice I think, and the IPv6 addresses assigned to my computers are actually public on the internet. But here's where my complaint begins. The Netgear documentation is atrociously bad. It has words that fill space but explain nothing. And the Genie interface is astonishingly badly implemented in the basic things. The "Attached Devices" often are not sync'd, the device names incorrect or absent. etc. I discovered after hours and hours of testing and rebooting that you need to enable the "Security - Access Control" option and manually edit-in the devices. then what it shows is stable. sheesh. Anyway, now that I've got that sorted out, it seems to be running absolutely great. Really fast. btw. the USB 2.0 port on modern equipment is a disappointment, practically an insult. I doubt I'll bother connecting a hard drive to it for a network share, considering how slow it would be. I'm glad to see, at least, that the ReadyShare device can be disabled so it isn't another distracting unused icon cluttering the Windows Network page.

Set up in a new 3200 sq ft home. The 2.4gz band covers the ENTIRE home, even all the way out to the garage. The 5gh is strong for the immediate areas (haven't tested it's range as of yet), but I have no issues with the connectivity whatsoever. The set-up was simple, and I'm definitely sold on the one device.... not one modem and one router taking up space. A+.

The app and setup are easy to use! No more rental fees from my ISP. My connection is great, both hardwired and wifi. I've had 0 issues so far and it has been a couple months. I love that I can monitor everything from the app and also set up guest wifi for when others visit. For the price, it's been well worth it. I have multiple devices connected at once, both hardwire and wireless, and I never see drops or lag.

Excellent Router. Set up very smooth with Comcast. You can activate the device yourself using comcast app or web which is so nice not having to wait for support. Love the combo modem router as it eliminates a box and a power supply and the cabling from modem to router. Also since these devices are made by the same company compatibility config issues are eliminated. Now I can easily move this device which is fairly compact easily from one area of my home to another if I need to. One hint I would like to give the small pct of people who are getting dropped connections is to install a wall timer that reboots the router in the middle of the night.I had a R7000 nighthawk that seemed fo get messed up especially when connecting multiple times to netflix and or amazon prime. The timer turns off at 2am and back on at 201 am. That solved all my dropped connection issues. I will see if I get similar issues with this router and if so I will plug it into the timer. So far (only 2 days) but working perfectly. Wifi signal strength is very good and even a little stronger than the R7000 which is amazing as it has no external antennas. One more tip for those who do not see the 5g wifi signal. Change the “channel” for the 5g band from 156 to 48 or test other channels until the 5g signal shows up.

Got this to replace an older Nighthawk that died after 5 years. Easy to use. The router/WiFI combo is always nice to have. Was up and running in under 10 minutes (had to call Spectrum so they could add the MAC address to their systems). Once that was done I was pulling down about 200Mbps/25Mbps. I have about 10 devices hooked up to this and they all run fine. It easily covers about 1500 square feet.

Really easy installation. I replaced a Verizon FIOS router with this product and it has certainly increased my speed. I have 3 other routers connected through the ethernet ports of this unit. Works perfectly in all corners of my house. I have both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz bands working for 2 wifi networks

Bought this to replace the modem I was renting with my cable company and it’s a lifesaver. Setup was quick and easy and I haven’t had any issues with wifi speed since switching to this modem. My old modem had lag issues but I have not experienced that with the Netgear modem.

I purchased the Nighthawk Router to replace Router being rented to me by ISP. Now getting full 200 Mbps download speeds as service is rated for. 2G band reaches everywhere in 2700 sq. ft. home. No more extenders, no additional wire routers needed. Accepts many devices with simultaneous access without issues. Wired and wireless devices getting pretty much same results in speed tests. I am very happy.

Great modem router combo for an average size house. My place is 1300 sq ft and it reaches all areas of my house no problem. I have Arlo cameras and they have no trouble connecting outside from 40 to 50 ft away. I don't have a ton of devices, 7 total. A few cameras, 4K Smart TV, tablet, phone, networked home audio receiver. No issues at all with this many devices working at the same time. It seems like it would be good for 1500 to 2000 ft house with 10ish devices. I think over that you would need to get something with more range. I've had it for almost a year and work from home 5 days a week. It's been very reliable and it's only been restarted a couple times for any Wi-Fi issues. Comcast cable, not so much.. lol

This router is working well. It seems to be stronger than the old one which I had to rent from Comcast for $10.00 a month. I bought this one to get rid of that charge and to strengthen the WIFI throughout my house. It was pricey and will take 18 months to pay for itself. I am expecting it to last several years. The setup was easy once we got over the hump of getting it registered with Comcast. Afterwards, it was a breeze to get all the devices logged back in to the WIFI.

My old N300 was rock solid, but 3 years old and only N speed. I tried a "refurbished" AC1750 modem/router online, and had nothing but headaches and disconnects. Bit the bullet and bought this AC1900 at the BestBuy store. Hooked it up with all my stuff, and not a single hiccup since (1 week). No restarts, no disconnects. And it is 2-3 times faster on the 2.4 ghz band, and I get 150-160 mps on the 5 ghz band. The range is good too. Don't hesitate.

After being with centuryLink for over a decade, I decided it was enough. paying for internet that works only half the time was getting too old. Never really made a changed till they decide to charge me double for very slow speed. Got rid of century link and went with comcast. This Net gear router modem was on top of comcast list so I figured why not. Beside, for the price of the router it will pay for itself in two months if I had stayed with centurylink. The setup was very easier, speed was insanely good on 5ghz 2.4 ghz has plenty of range. I've had it for over a month and haven't notice any speed drops or cut offs. On 2.4 GHZ I was getting around 70-85 Mbps and 170Mbps on 5 ghz. I think its worth the money if speed is important to you. Get this router and you won't be disappointed. Since this router is on comcast's list the customer support was top notch. IME don't buy a router not on their list otherwise they will make excuse to not ton help you troubleshoot if you have any issues.
