I purchased this Netgear because I wanted my own Modem instead of renting it from my internet provider. and I am very pleased with it. Just remember, when you hook it up, you need to make sure and read the instructions because you may need to check with Netgear for further instructions.

Replacing one that is 2-3 yrs old. Same model I had. Old one still worked but it was starting to drop the signal or cause lag in my online game randomly. Make sure you register it online through Netgear before calling you internet provider to give them the router information, including the MAC address.

Easy to set up and covers the whole house (1500sf) and back porch.

Great modem and router combo. I was tired of paying for Medea and router from the cable company. I’ll save so much money by purchasing this product!! I would recommend this product to anyone looking to save money.

It is very nice to have a all in one unit for a cleaner installation, just a power cord and the coax. Speed is super fast, I get better than advertised speeds so I can't complain. Only negative is you can't update the firmware yourself, Comcast has to allow you to do it with an update. But outside of that, pretty awesome piece of equipment.

REcommended by Best Buy employee. Very good unit especially compared to Spectrum's router/modems...this is much better and reliable.

Modem works well Sparklight/New Wave in ID. Router has much more range than expected. We have had 2 power outages and Modem / Router reset without issue. Have not needed to reset router / modem in the 7 weeks I have been using it. Would purchase again and have recommended it to friends and family.

Loved the idea of a router modem combination, but this does not support a home phone with Wi-Fi. I have spectrum home phone and this could not support the phone. Sad because otherwise would not have returned it. Netgear in the past has been the best Wi-Fi router for us.

I bought this because I was tired of paying for my rented Router/Modem. This has a much better range and distance. I am very happy with this product.

Brought it home and it was garbage. I noticed the one I gotta had firmware version 1.13. I went back to the store and exchanged it for one with 1.14 (printed on the box). Worked flawlessly and still use it today after 3 years. Make sure you don't get one with an older firmware!

Better then the old modem I had. Faster and stronger signal. Easy to install.

I was unwilling to rent a modem from the cable companies... especially when I saw this one available at a good price. My home is small, but I suspect that it would provide good coverage for a larger home as well... if not network extenders would do the trick. Very high speed no issues. Exactly what I wanted am very happy with this purchase.
