I replaced and upgraded a Zoom combo cable modem/wireless router and this was set up/installed in no time over a 15 minute call with Comcast. The improvement was noticed immediately and so well, that we also decided to upgrade our internet package with Comcast. All Xbox players, internet surfers and gadget geeks are happy campers now. No game lagging or slow internet speeds to deal with.

Why pay the cable companies to rent one?

This router gives me more range in my home (2 floors) than the ones from the cable company. I've had it for a couple of years now and had zero issues with it at all. Setting it up was easy and it's been care-free since then. If you're renting your modem from the cable guys, stop. Just buy this and save the monthly fee. It'll pay for itself many times over...

I was skeptical getting another Netgear product since my last one constantly overheated and crashed, however glad I got it. It is outstanding so far. Easy to setup, easy to use and has excellent user interface. Router is fast and has quite a bit stronger WiFi signal than my previous one. Well worth the money.

In the time that I have had this product I haven't had any problems. I have it connected to 3 smart tvs with firesticks attached, a smart doorbell, multiple computers and phones. It was very easy to set up. And a great investment if your cable company charges you a monthly rental fee for there modem. Plus you won't need a separate router box with this purchase because it is built in. The only reason I haven't given it 5*s is because I haven't had it long enough in my opinion to see ifor there are any major problems.

We've used this Netgear router for over a year and a half and it has been completely reliable. No issues. The Wi-Fi coverage is good for our house footprint. We eliminated our cable contract and now stream everything. Good speed with no lags even with several people streaming at once. Good value.

We had been leasing from the cable company and had gotten very frustrated with our service we had run the router download speed and found it was poor. Cable provider said that it was on our end. Purchased the Netgear - Nighthawk AC 1900 and get 90% to 100% of the speed purchased instead of 10% to 25%. It provides great wifi for the whole house even though it is in a closet upstairs. Love it.

I was using an extender for my 1300 sq ft 2 story home because i couldnt get a signal upstairs in 2 bedrooms that is far away from the router that is located downstairs next to my living room tv. Bought this baby and voila i get signal everywhere in my house and the speed is exactly what i pay for on my plan and this works great with xfinity.

This modem router combo is one of the best in my opinion. You get the nighthawk app and able to control parental controls, WiFi names and password right at your finger tips. Saves you the rental fees and best of all... it is netgear!! Price is not too bad. Docsis 3.0 so you also have up to date equipment with your companies.

I bought the Nighthawk to replace my ISP's modem/router combo unit. Before upgrading to the nighthawk, the ISP unit was routinely loosing it's connection to the network. I went through 2 of their modems before buying the nighthawk. Since then my connection and speed have been consistent. Set up was very easy and the netgear genie phone app is very useful for managing my network.

I bought this to replace my Comcast router that would always reset itself or bog down with the xfinitywifi hotspot that was shared from my router that I could not turn off. This router is great I have it downstairs in a coat closet that I've turned into a server room and I get full bars thru the house. Giving me 75 Mbps or greater at times. So much better than the Comcast router.

After weeks of research and looking at various routers, I selected this Netgear and couldn't be happier. I've got a house that's over 2500 sq ft plus needs for internet outside the house and this covers it. Easy to set up and worked fine with my Xfinity/Comcast service

I had not had a new modem or router for many years and when I started to have connection problems it was determined that my old equipment was out of date. I looked into a number of units and went with the NETGEAR equipment due to other reviews and the ease of setup. With no additional extenders I have great coverage thru out my entire home, single level unit. This unit is easy to use for anyone even without the 60 years I have had in electronics.

I stream shows on 2 televisions simultaneously, and operate several other wireless devices (Roomba, thermostat, 3 cell phones). Have had no issues with connectivity or buffering. My internet provider is Xfinity, and I am on the "Blast Pro" service which has advertised speeds of 200 mpbs. Haven't found any dead zones yet in my 1541 sqft home. Unit was really easy to set up.

This was the easiest to set up. The one I bought before this one was an Arris G34. I wasted almost a week, trying to get things to connect to the router. And couldn’t get to connect. I brought that one back and bought this one. The best thing I ever did. Set up was a breeze.

I bought this after the first netgear modem/router wouldn't activate with comcast. This thing has been awesome. I have it on one side of my house and it reaches all the way to the other (2400 sq ft) with good strength. I have always had issues with my iPhone and N wireless router, but after switching to AC it has been problem free. Setup is easy and there are plenty of advanced options.

    Finding a Router/Modem

Our problem is a big house with thick walls, so we needed a modem/router that could reach the whole. The Nighthawk seems to have done so nicely. It has two WiFi's, which give you a choice of which to use (some of my electronic goods, for some reason, see only one). Changing the WiFi name and password was easy. In general, a good choice for big spaces.
