I was tired of "renting" my ISP provided cable modem, and probably paid for it many times over. I decided to buy my own, and headed to my local Best Buy. After reading several reviews, and seing the in-store demo model, I decided on trying the Netgear Nighthawk AC1900. I brought it home, unhooked my ISP provided cable modem/router, unpackaged and hooked up the new AC1900, followed a few simple steps, and bam ... i was up and running in just a matter of minutes! I waited for a few weeks before writing this review. So far, so good ... absolutely no issues!

When you think of a router manufacturer I bet Netgear isn't even in the top 5 that come to mind. I have to tell you that of all the routers and modems I have owned through the years this is the best one hands down. Having both 5ghz and 2.4ghz bands to transmit on I was able to pull all of our "smart" equipment off the slower 2.4 and put it where it belongs on the higher 5ghz. The security is perfect and the range covers my house with no trouble. Gone are the extenders! This is a bit pricey (I give a three ouch) but it's worth every penny.

Easy to install and program using the app. Capable of 2.4, or 5ghz. I have 600 mbps and this router delivers it all and then some.

Been using for about a month with no problems. Good speed, good WiFi range and easy setup. Worked with Xfinity out of the box. Would definitely recommend.

This modem/router combo is a great piece of equipment. It made my bad cable service much better and has excellent range. Have had zero issues with it since purchase. Highly recommend.

Purchase this for my mom’s house as she just got internet service. I am not tech say but was Easy to set up and very fast!

We chose this one because it had the reputation as being one of the best available. It was super easy to set up, and it serves our high speed internet well.

The Nighthawk modem/router is a great product. I had another Netgear modem/router for several years and decided it was just time to upgrade to something with more horsepower. The speed basically doubled and even with several people on the network it can handle multiple people streaming without any pauses. It has many features which I haven't even explored yet. I like that you can effortlessly login a wireless printer onto the network without having to deal with passwords. A nice feature. Recommend the Nighthawk to everyone.

It gives great range and it was able to provide coverage for multiple devices in my home. It was a great product recommended by the knowledgeable Best Buy.

Performs without even breaking a sweat! I'm getting 70Mbs, which is weird because I only pay for 50Mbps? and on a wireless connection I get a steady 30Mbps. All from this single device.

Does exactly what it should, runs my spectrum 400 up -30~ down MBPS speed like it’s nothing and covers my whole 1500 sqft home.

Works very good for streaming as long as you can stay connected to the internet. It will pay for itself in 1 year, so why pay the cable company $14.00 a month and not know when the rental fee will increase again. The odds are good that it will work fine for several years. When you do decide to replace it, the new model/router will have the newest technology. Will you get that from the cable company, even after paying the high rental fees for years? If asked to recommend, I would.

Replaced modem from internet provider to save monthly rental. This is a fast unit, easy to install. Only negative is that I wish it had a direct A C plug instead of bulky box plug.

All in one modem and router. Fewer cords. Much quicker than the old 802.11n. Easy to hook up. Password is right there. All I had to do is call the cable co. to register the new device.

This device was so easy to setup. My internet speeds have been consistently good since I purchased it. Highly recommend
