Works just as well as the more expensive model which is equipped with built-in voice… but let’s be honest: who actually wants that stuff? Go with this model. We have 3 current gen xboxes, 4 phones and 2 computers and everything is working quick and smoothly simultaneously.

Have a two story home, this router provides good coverage. 5Ghz band has good speed but coverage not as good as 2Ghz. No problems connecting with Time Warner cable.

I needed to get an upgrade on my modem as I switched my speed from Xfinity to 1000 Mbps. Searching around, I wanted to find one with wifi built in so I don't have to buy two. After looking I chose this and as soon as I installed, I can tell the difference. Pages were uploading a lot faster and this should make my wife happy. I'm waiting to see if she notices the change in a few days. I would recommend this product and the price is not too bad.

I switched to Time Warner and I have the 100 Mbps plan. I wanted to have room to upgrade and this did the trick. It was easy to set up and works great.

Great router! Comcast was scamming us with their router, as we were paying for 300 mbps but were only getting 30....... With this router I get at least 80 from my room (far from router) and a high of 200. The only negative I have is that the range is pretty bad. I live in a pretty big house, and if you go to the other side of it you only get ~40. Overall great router, get it already!

I have a 2700 sq ft house and the WiFi signal is good everywhere. I haven't had any router that has had as good WiFi coverage through the whole house like this one. It loses one star because in it's simplicity, the interface is crippled. Parental controls require you to install the Netgear app, and won't let you set them via the web app, which makes no sense at all. Parental Controls also require an Open DNS account, which is an added step. Also, it takes extra configuration to apply parental controls to just selected devices, meaning by default they are set for every computer. Setting parental schedules to limit usage are also difficult. Just a poor, non-intuitive controls system. These are all things i have been able to do on other routers very easily.
In a nutshell, if WiFi coverage is most important and you don't need parental controls, I highly recommend this. If you want simple, easy to use parental controls, consider if you want to use OpenDNS as well...and even then it's not great.

I purchased this because I kept having problems with the equipment that my ISP provided (even after several replacements). It has been great. No down time, and I can get into the software and set up parental controls for the whole house as well. As a perk, I will also be saving money on my ISP bill because now I don't have to rent their equipment. In the long run it pays for itself and eventually saves money, is very reliable, and has more user control. It's a win all around.
