    hooked up in my basement with ease. Set up was also no stress. Coverage is good on normal band for 2 story 2,000 sqft home. 5G band barely reaches 2nd floor.

    I got this modem to replace the one I was leasing from Comcast. Setup was easy, though I did have to spend some time on the phone with Comcast so they could send an activation signal to the unit in order for it to start downloading and uploading packets. The Wifi signal is strong enough to reach all rooms of the house, including the basement. All in all, a good modem that get the job done well. My only real gripe is the price. I caught it during a decent sale, but mostly likely would not have gone with this unit at full price.

    I’m COMCAST user and I’ve installed NETGEAR Nighthawk C7000-100NAS then I had experience about connection drop issue. The symptom was I got connection lost few seconds almost once per hour, then return to normal. I googled and found several users had same issue with this model. For my case, I changed MTU from 1500 to 1490 then the issue was fixed.
