This will be an amazing upgrade. Unfortunately we had to return it bc we needed a 3.1 router. But if you dont have gigabit internet, this will most likely be an amazing for house.

Great router. It has a hard time reaching all areas of my 2 story. I have tried different locations but for the most part it does the job. A bit overpriced for what it is. It pays for it's self overtime if you have to pay extra to the cable company.

The sales person was very helpful for me finding just what I wanted.

Check it out and asked around and every one I talked to told me that it was a very good one and I have no problems with it and when the cable guy came to install the service. He told me that it was on the top of the list for the Quality

Unless you have Gb internet, this will be as fast as what your provider is delivering to you. WiFi range is decent, have it in an enclosed environment in the middle of 2nd story of a ~3400 sqft house and it reaches everywhere in the house but not as far as the back porch (4 walls and ~50-75ft away)

It was a great router. Got max speeds and good range in square footage. But got DDos attacked. Netgear nor Comcast could help stop the issue. So if you have kids online gaming. Consider investing in a VPN

I love that the NETGEAR - Nighthawk Dual-Band AC1900 Router with 24 x 8 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem - Black is one neat package. Works great. Never have had a problem with my internet service since buying.

Shipping was quick, easy to setup using the APP, although the APP still needs some improvements. WiFi speed with a subscription of 600 just getting @270 at best. Ethernet cable supplied too short it would be nice to include a cable input splitter in the box also.

It's a great product. Maybe I should have gone with the 300 mbps with Time Warner for even faster streaming. The reason why is when I watch Netflix on my Xbox, and work on my computer it's pretty slow, but not the products fault I believe.

Do not buy. Slow, unreliable, does not last. I've had three or four of these 2-in-1 modem + router of this exact same Netgear Nighthawk and luckily I bought BestBuy protection for all of them but the first one. The one that lasted the longest worked for 2 years; the last one I had only lasted a month. I pay for 600+ mbs from Comcast and this Nighthawk was only getting up to 60 mbs even when connected with a cable to my new laptop. I installed another modem and boom - my speed went up to 750+ mbs when connected with a cable. A better way to go is to have a separate nodem and a separate router. They last longer and provide more reliable speeds.

If you're thinking twice about buying your own modem/router, please don't hesitate! You will save money in the long run versus renting a modem from your Internet provider

I had to purchased this router due to upgrading my internet speed to 400mbps. This router functionality was great and efficient. The connection was fast on my computers and gaming consoles.

So glad I finally needed up buying a modem/router. Saves money in the long run then renting. Works great and I live the app.

Ordered online to replace my existing Netgear modem/router. Had many years of use with this particular product so I ordered the newer version. Picked up the next day.

This model seems to have widely reported issues of intermittently dropping internet. I had the same issue until I moved the unit to another cable port after reading that changing out cables can be effective. It seems to impact the upstream and downstream power levels. If you have the same issue, go to the routerlogin site and click on 'cable' and look at the power levels. If the download channels aren't around 7dBmV and the upload aren't around 48dBmV, then change your connection hardware (add a splitter or change the cord). I still cry foul on the unit design. It shouldn't be this easy to make it fail and Netgear should do better knowing that wall connections will be imperfect. The solution isn't to constantly reboot the unit.

Obviously if you want a faster and better connection, you gotta go with the best or something that combines both a router and modem. It's also not that expensive if you can get a deal on it.

This worked great to connect in areas of our house that previously were dead spots. Our son can now play his xbox one while others are connected and the signal is consistent and strong!

This extender was exactly what we needed to extend WiFi into a room in our house that previously had spotty reception due to a brick wall and fireplace. This was perfect for our needs.
