I've been using this with my Xfinity service. Would flake out at times requiring a reboot. Not completely sure if the problem was the product or Comcast service but based on my tech background, it appears to be the Netgear at fault.

Kept dropping and rebooting at first, but good NOW

This is a good Cable modem but the wireless is not that great

Easy to set up and provides the speed necessary to download movies. The only negative is that it does not have an outlet for a telephone.

No good. I followed all the instructions to install this, everything went well up to when the nighthawk app said that the firmware had to updated. I couldn't do it through the nighthawk app. So I signed in through the routerlogin.net and routerlogin.com both are the same. On the site there was no place to update the firmware. I looked up a "how to video" on youtube. The guy showed on his that the firmware update pops up next to "basic and advance" tab, in which on mine it did not show. So I wasn't able to use the nighthawk app at all since it won't let me continue until I update a firmware that apparently does not require an update. On top of that I checked the internet speed. My download speed went from about 110Mbps to barely even 40, it was reading about 25Mbps (Spectrums provided moden router combo). The upload speed stayed about the same with a 1-2Mbps difference. Definitely not worth buying. Point being that the companies provided modem/router combo is better than this one.

I had to return the item. When I made the purchase, I explained my need to the sales person. This is what he recommended. I told him I had the cable "bundle" (internet, TV, phone) with Mediacom. There is no phone jack capability with this modem, so it will not work with the bundle.

so this ;product works just fine but if you are wanting to use gigablast from cox this router and modem will not work because it is 3.0 not 3.1 and cox will not allow you to use it so I had to return it and get another modem router

I like netgear but do not see improvement over my 10 year old even after increasing internet speed from 30 to 150 MB’s? Support people were difficult to understand. Still have problems with slow start up and buffering on my Smart TV’s (4).
