    Gets hot in summer

    Netgear - Nighthawk Ac1900 Dual-band Router with modem crashes if it gets hot, like in summer time. Have to use small fan continuously to keep it cool. Have to reset many times. Time Warner Cable subscriber.

    It was working fine until one week later I could not get online and I got the message "server DNS address could not be found” error and none of the three browsers would connect anywhere. I unplugged the router and the problem fixed itself. A week later it happened again at night while I was working online and it took Netgear technical support to tell me the numbers and technique to redo the DNS addresses. This had never happened to me before with a modem router of any brand and much less with the cable company router. It makes me uneasy especially when the free tech support runs out. PS there is no power level control.

    Wasn’t sure what the issue was but I was having so many problems with my ISP and I was told I could buy my own router. I did just that and it never was able to connect so I had to return it.

    Improved my home wifi but video calls and tv streaming simultaneously were still glitchy with 250mbps internet.

    Helped me get about 95% of the interneet speeds the provider promises and maintain it there. No issues on the route so far.

    Sluggish. Not reliable internet speed via Speedtest.net UI interface suck. Bought a Asus modem + router that support faster speed and more bond channel and 2x the range. Will be returning this!!

    Don't buy Netgear Nighthawk Router/modem Combo!

    Do not buy this product if you have Spectrum internet. Even though the box says that it is compatible, it is not. It worked for about three weeks and then it needed a firmware update. Spectrum would not send the update because they did not own the equipment. Netgear refused to help and said that it is a spectrum issue. I explained that spectrum wouldn't help. After two times of calling both places I am returning this item for store credit. Do yourself a favor and use a spectrum modem and buy a mesh system like Eeros. This product is crap. The customer service is crap. And they don't deserve your hard earned money.

    Can’t control remotely. What a bummer. Thought somethings so expensive would have a bit more features. So-so. It will do for now but not the best.

    Some modems work and some don’t!

    This thing was a piece of crap it was easy to set up however after three months it just crashed the download and upload went to megabytes and I have 200 meg of Internet. I would not recommend any Netgear product I bought it based on the reviews Of how great the performance was. I guess it’s hit or miss with these things some people get good ones and some people get bad ones.

    Only boosts connection speed slightly

    Boosted my internet a little but not by much. Can be in the same room with the router on WIFI and the connection speed is slightly better than Spectrum router while on VPN but not good enough for the price.

    Lasted 7 months, will have to replace. Before this was working fine, already confirmed with internet co. That it is the modem that's defective
