    I bough this based on the positive reviews as I have Xfinity high speed internet after setting up I wasn't getting the speeds I needed mostly half to 80% speed Can you believe pictures on website took long to show,videos buffer about ten sec and some websites won't load or open no choice but have to return i got a separate modem and router that cost twice more then this and it performs very well but on the other hand I'm going back to Verizon FiOS in a couple of months I regret leaving them for Xfinity.

    It runs too slowly and sometimes gives issue when trying to connect to WiFi. I only use it at my business in the waiting area (for my laptop and customer wanting WiFi access). So, it serves its purpose.

    It works, but the range is very poor. I had to add multiple extenders in my home that is 2400sq ft. Router is on my main floor & does not reach to the basement.

    My old router and modem were 4 years old and I was expecting an upgrade to speed and the number of devices we could connect at one time. This unit is not any worse but I have not noticed any upgrades.

    This gateway is trash. It held up for a good year and no changes. Now for the past 6 months, I've dealt with constant internet disconnections and lacking performance from my netgear nighthawk AC1900 (C7000v2 modem/router combo). After tweaking every config setting I know to tweak I decided that the old 1.03.03 firmware just does not work as intended, and because it is a combo it cannot be upgraded explicitly. I have researched literally everything about this router and I truly believe it is just a piece of unreliable, outdated junk. It goes out probably 5-10 times during the day which is super annoying when you work from home.

    I guess for $200, I was expecting something way more powerful with a way better app! While saving money is the good part, Xfinity’s app was far and away more better than the Netgear app.

    It works but not as fast as advertised. Wasnt clear how to set it up. I called and sat on hold forever with the company and finally got it set up. Then nighthawk tried to sell me customer support for a few hundred dollars. Or after 30 days or something like that they will charge you to trouble shoot thier products. I will not be supportting a product from them again when this goes out. I cant stand companies who dont back thier products and just want more money from you.

    I saw other reviews and bought this modem. Let me tell you, this is not what i wanted. My room is approximately 20 feet away from this modem, and hence the speed drop is very very significant. There is no signal boost of sorts. If you have a small home, probably this will work out for you. I have xfinity high speed internet and this makes it feel like a dialup modem from 20 feet away. Also the nighthawk app is nothing like the photos. it has some feature but nothing significant.

    I have this item for one year now and am experiencing network interruptions recently. I contacted Xfinity and they said the problem may be from this item.

    This item did not match the performance that the provided rental gateway from Comcast reaches. It never reached the full performance. I believe that it was Comcast actually bottle-necking the device to ensure continued loyalty to their rental program. In any case, beware if you have Comcast and are looking to buy this product to replace the rental equipment. You will get about half of the speed that the plan provides.

    While my connection status lights always seem to indicate connectivity to the internet, streaming audio encounters frequent and sporadic interruptions, as the stream refreshes the buffer. I thought I would be upgrading to better speed and connectivity when I bought this unit to replace my aging Netgear C6300 router (which never had stability issues), but unfortunately I was wrong. Netgear online support is pathetic. Recommend other maker before Netgear.
