    Couldn't get the darn thing to initialize in the setup. Could have been my problem, or the product. Don't know. Had to return it.

    It works okay. Still getting lag service from a different room. Not sure if its because all the log on or its just not as good.

    8 Days and dead

    When this Modem / Router combo was up and running, it worked flawlessly! It lasted all of 8 days and Dead . After troubleshooting with Suddenlink we confirmed what I expected. The unit died . After a simple easy return at Best Buy I did a search and found this is a common issue with this particular model . Hats off to Best Buy , they made the return super easy . I would not recommend this model but do Highly Recommend Best Buy !

    I have only owned this thing for 1 year and it stopped working. It isn't even 1 year. I have one day left on the warranty and I called in but I got the run around. They wanted me to give them more money. Absolutely ridiculous! I had to use the one I had before this one, that one works. So this was a wasted $200. I will never buy from Netgear again! Also when I called Netgear the service was terrible!

    Overall it is a decent modem/router. The problem lies with Netgear. They do not let you update your products unless you have a paid for membership to their services which just isn't the right way a company should treat customers. That being said once their products start to get some age they get slow and the only way to speed them up is to pay for that membership. I will NOT be buying a Netgear product in the future

    I have no doubt that this is a great modem. However, it won’t work for Verizon customers even though it is listed as being compatible to this service.

    For the price of the router the functionality is disappointing. Keep getting an “incorrect password” error on WiFi devices. Apparently a known issue with these.

    Purchased 5.2.21, hooked everything up and I was still required to contact Spectrum for an extended set up process. I then downloaded the Netgear Nighthawk app on my I phone which stated a firmware update was required which I was unable to do. I then contacted Netgear customer support and they said "there is a glitch in the app and you can't do the firmware update", in addition to that, the Wifi speed was much slower than the Spectrum equipment (around half the speed) to which the rep told me "give it 24 hours to adapt". No thank you! I re-installed my Spectrum equipment and was charged $10 for the re-connect fee which I will gladly pay and I will gladly pay the $5 a month equipment charge. Short answer-save your money on this one, if you can't do a firmware update that's not good, try a different brand or stick with your Spectrum equipment in my humble opinion-thank you.

    Seems to need to be rebooted often and speeds vary from minute to minute, of course Cox says it's the modem not them. Pay for 100meg and average about 40meg

    We bought this to replace my asus router which was a 1200 router ... a sales assistant recommended this one to us .... we purchased in stalled it it was working perfectly fine ... but 2 months later we had problems .. we noticed it would crash .. we called our service provider they came and checked our high speed internet our connection was good ... they checked our router it was defective .... I didn't buy the protection for it but it hasnt been long

    Have got this for a year. The 5G mode is not stable and I experienced very frequent disconnection on both my laptop and desktop.
