Not compatible with Xfinity. Had to return it unfortunately.

I received for free this modem as part of the Netgear friends and family program to review. Overall i am very pleased with its performance and highly recommend the product for those who are looking for a no compromise all-in-one solution for your modem and router. Setup - Getting the modem up and running could not have been an easier experience. After plugging the new modem in connecting the the internet was as simple as opening the browser and following the directions on the Time Warner Activate my Modem page which was automatically detected. A minute or two later i was fully connected with no fuss. A simple change of the SSID through the Netgear Genie interface and the rest of my devices were soon back online. Total time from taking the modem out of the box to fully operational was less than five minutes. For those who inclined to dig though the settings to adjust everything to your specifications all of the standard options are available and for those who want the easiest solution to get connected this modem fits the bill as well. Features - The C7000 offers all of the features one would expect from a device of this level. Wireless AC connectivity and DOCSIS 3.0 are included. One feature shared with the C6300 that can be sometimes overlooked but come in handy is the the USB port on the back for making media available through the media server client or as a option for networking a printer. An annditional item i appreciated about this device is that its footprint is slightly smaller than the C6300 and it visually is a more appealing device to look at. Performance - My basis of comparison for performance is against the Netgear C6300. On the software side the two devices are very similar . It is the hardware aspect of the devices where the the differences become noticeable. The first thing i noticed was how fast the device was able to boot up. It is very apparent the processor in the C7000 is a step up over the C6300. The C6300 offers great range and the C7000 is every bit as good. I live in a townhome and with many neighbors and not noticed any interference whatsoever. The range easily covers the entirety of my place and provides great performance throughout the house. With a 300mbps connection i had no trouble running netflix on one tv, while streaming music through a local server, and watching espn on my pc at the same time over a wireless connection. Value - Overall i think the C6300 might offer better value for the money for average users as it is a very capable device in it own right but for those who will push their router and modem to the limits the C7000 does offer good value for its price. In relative terms considering the price that TWC changes for their modem/router to the C7000 i certainly think it makes for an attractive option as it will cover its cost in rental fees in 2 years and is hands down a better solution.

It kept dropping signal so i returned and bought a separate modem and router which works so much better

It kept dropping wifi connections with devices. It took me several weeks of discussion with the internet provider and netgear and when we finally tried numerous solutions and agreed it has to be returned Best Buy would not refund it and instead gave me a BB gift card. Be careful abut the 14 day return policy. They tried to upgrade me to their "elite customer program" which apparently has different rules. Nice to know I'm just a "Peasant".

I bought this one based on many other reviews. I wanted to have my own router so I return my x-finity rented one. I used the Netgear router for 24 hours then it stopped working after I did a reset. Contacted two technical support individuals at Netgear and they suggested me to return it as it may have a manufacturing defect. I'm back to the rented x-finity router :(

Works good, could be stronger the distance is a little weak

This would only stay connected to the internet for about 2 minutes before dropping out and continuously resetting. Couldn't even get into settings to change channels before it dropped out multiple times. ISP says internet connectivity is good; my old modem/router that I ended up re-plugging in says the same. Also 5ghz kept dropping out while it was connected. It got pretty warm in the 30 minutes it was plugged in and also made a quiet but audible-enough hum. Not sure if this is because it's a combined modem/router, because of the brand, or because of the model, but it's junk and I don't recommend it.

i had this product in use for 20 days and i need to reset ones

This was a horrible product. It broke down within the first two months of owning it BRAND NEW. Technical support is horrible, when they can’t find the answer to help they keep telling you to do the same thing and eventually just hang up on you. Never again

Well, as of today, I'm not happy. I turned in my router back to Spectrum, to get this router. Now, im hearing it from my daughters and wife!!!!! My daughter is a junior in high school and she keeps getting kicked out of her zoom classes and it freezes up. This is not good!! The reviews i read on this router were too good to be true. I have total tech protection coverage from Best Buy, they are scheduled to arrive on 12-08, if this doesnt help, I WILL RETURN THIS ROUTER back to Best Buy!!

I bought this router wifi combo a year ago, For the past 4 months, I have had to restart it an average of 3 times a day due to no signal from the wifi. It started giving me headaches about 6 months ago when the ethernet ports didn't work anymore. I paid almost $200 dollars for something that didn't last a year. i just couldn't take it anymore and had to buy an Arris router modem instead. It seems to be working fine so far, fingers crossed. Time will tell. STAY AWAY from this Nighthawk AC1900 router and save ur money.

motorola is better, imo. I've gone thru 2 of these netgears.
