    Should have opted for a higher model. No phone jack. Losses wifi signal multi times a day.

    Went into BB to buy an Arris SBG6900-AC, but the salesperson talked me into this unit. I was on the phone with Time Warner Cable for about 45 min , but the technician could not get the unit to communicate. I returned it for another and still no luck. Finally, I returned the 2nd unit and bought the Arris which activated with no issues and has been a great unit so far.

    The router disconnects every 10 minutes despite updating to latest firmware, resetting etc. There is simply no solution to this router and you can verify it online. I purchased another used router after 2 months to make up for this.

    I don’t get why I thought this would help my WiFi signal strength, I swear this thing is a gimmick, I didn’t see a boost anywhere. But I was tricking myself in believing it’s working. I don’t think I did anything wrong in connecting it, it just didn’t truly extend my WiFi range.

    After 10 months from purchasing this product it got frozen. I called the customer service from the manufacturer country and told me "good news" we can fix it but your warranty just expired so just pay us "only" $179 and we will fix it...I'm sure that the problem with my modem was not an accident. Think for your self!

    Blazing Fast Speeds!

    For the past six years I have rented a modem from my internet provider (Mediacom) and used my own router. I was content until I cut the cord from cable TV and began to rely more heavily on streaming media. Having gotten involved in a Tablo OTA dvr as well as getting involved with setting up a Plex media server, i became frustrated with my prior rented modem/personal router setup due to the fact that i was unable to get any type of remote access set up for either device. After reading far too much material that, quite frankly, went well over my head, i finally came up with the conclusion that i needed to purchase my own modem/router combination in the hopes of simplifying my ability to get that remote access working. After reading what felt like endless reviews I finally decided on the Netgear Nighthawk Ac1900 modem/router combo. After trying to talk myself out of buying it over the course of the day, i finally decided to take the plunge after thinking about how much money i tossed away renting the previous modem over the course of 6 years. I figured after about a year and a half it has paid for itself, so i made the decision to go for it. The verdict? Oh. My. Goodness!!! I had become very accustomed to paying for 100 Mb/s and getting around 45 Mb/s during peak times and 60 Mb/s during the odd hours. My first speed test with the new Netgear combo during peak hours netted me a result of a whopping 164 Mb/s - i was floored... i actually didn't ever expect to go so far above and beyond not only what I was previously getting, but above and beyond what I am paying for - and this was NOT a direct ethernet connection, this was the wifi connection speeds! In addition to that, I got both the Tablo and Plex server set up with the remote connection and couldn't be any happier. The setup and interface is very easy - even for those of us without an abundance of geekology. To say I am pleased is an understatement and would readily recommend this unit without hesitation.

    This item has a glitch that caused it not to work consistently. I am sad I bought it but had had good luck with Netgear in the past.

    Not compatible with Xfinity. Wasn't as easy to set up as I was told it would be. Also doesn't go well with our BARK security system.

    Unfortunately the device I purchased was defective and that did not work well for me. Although I have heard very good reviews on it. You may have a better experience than I did.

    Wifi keeps drops

    Internet keeps dropping once very 15 mins. This happens only to the devices connected to the Wifi, devices hardwired dont drop from the internet. I called Netgear help line and they suggested a few changes to the channel. That did not help. Will be returning

    I bought when it was over 200 dlls . it broke right in the middle of the pandemic ,when my kids are doing homework, It lasted a little over 2 years,right after the 2 years best buy extended warranty expired, of course, BB was of no help at all. I will buy something else from Amazon.
