Decided I didn't want to pay the rental to Comcast anymore and read a bunch of reviews. Also didn't want to buy a router/modem I would have to replace in 6 months. I have over 10 devices running and haven't experienced a single issue! While the price may seem a bit extreme, it will indeed pay for itself over time. I actually think it's better quality than what Comcast/Xfinity was providing.

I purchased this modem router combo to replace my old modem and router. I wanted a new unit that was a all in one modem, router with WIFI. Right out the box, easy instructions, called Cox Communications with the Mac # and I was ready to go with my desktop, IPads, IPhones and Kindles in less than 15 minutes. I did my homework ahead to make sure this unit was on the approved list.

Steady, strong, reliable signal for our Comcast internet. Backed by Best Buy extended warranty, so we can forget about our home internet hardware.

I just bought this combo modem/router. It has tripled my wireless download speeds plus I now have, proper connection to my smart tv. With the Comcast modem/router, it never worked as it should. Very easy setup for a non tech person. We lost our landline but the modem speed makes it all worthwhile. I am saving money by not paying the rental fee nor having a phone line.

This router description is a bit deceiving on the box. It states up to 800Mbps speeds with Xfinity. The box also says up to 1.8Gbps etc. blah blah. I was never able to get close to any of those speeds. With a wired connection I got 750Mbps, which is fine. But my wireless connection never got above 250Mbps. My ISP provides me speeds of up to 1200Mbps and my previous wireless router provided ~600Mbps wirelessly, so it should not be a problem. After going back and forth with Xfinity and NETGEAR customer service, I finally discovered that this router cannot reach higher speeds because it is DOCSIS 3.0 and not 3.1. That is what the NETGEAR rep told me over the phone. The photos provided by customer reviews definitely confirm that. It's just annoying that it took so long to figure out and now I have to return to get a different model.

I purchased this item for my daughter. She reports that this seems to be a high quality product. Easy installation and haven't had any problems at all!!!!

I got this router to update my internet speed connection and also eliminate the modem and router I had in my office. This device went straight into my living room where all my entermainment center that houses all my electronic devices for my house. Range is great no problems picking up signal from the front yard to the backyard while being closed up in a cabinet

I’ve never had a single problem here. This beast runs for weeks on end without any trouble. Just give it an hour break every couple or few weeks out of decency.

I wasn't originally looking for a combo router/modem, but the price of this one compared to regular routers with similar speed/features was similar. I was able to get rid of the cable company's router and save on my monthly bills. If this modem lasts two years it will have paid for itself. My wireless speed is 10 times faster than my old router.

The nighthawk router was the easiest to set up and has had better performance than my old Verizon router. Highly recommended.

Easy setup. Works well. I wish I had gotten the faster one, but does a good job. We have 2 computers, 2 cell phones, and 6 ROKUS that we we connect to daily and it does a good job

Why pay a monthly fee to your cable provider when you can buy one that's 100 times better in every aspect,,,, we get a better ,stronger signal with no dead spots, ... My wife is on her tablet all day around the house and she always had a complaint but now she just smiles,,,

This is a super modem. After having issues with my old technicolor modem provided by timewarner cable, i decided to buy this one. This modem provides maximum speed of my internet connection all the time. Wifi signal is very good. Recommended!!

We needed a new modem for our Xfinity service - our current one was slowing us down. Brian at Best Buy asked us how many devices we connect, and how we use them, to determine which modem would suit our purpose. He recommended this one, and it works as advertised. We're now getting the performance we wantred.

I like this modem/router combo. So far, its working with Xfinity 300Mbps service. I suggest getting it hooked up then wait 30 to 60 mins then attempt to activate this modem thru your ISP. I would also suggest tweaking with the channel frequencies if you know how and having the Netgear app detect what channels are used more and used less.

Works great easy setup and allows many different devices to run with no drop in speed

We got this back in 2017 and it has been the best experience for me in all my network equipment purchases as I’ve never been one to go with the standard router combo supplied by my cable company. I just changed over to fiber so now this serves as an access point and works just fine even with more demand of faster upload speeds I never saw on cable. Check out the admin page and you’ll find this thing has all sorts of goodies inside like access to DFS channels and the ability to see what channels around you are in use so you can manually set everything up. My wife’s galaxy s22 ultra and note 10 before that has not had as great of an experience staying connected to the wifi and I’ve been unable to figure that out but suspect it may be something to do with it not having had a firmware update since I’ve gone away from a cable provider and they are the ones who push out the updates unfortunately.

We’ve had this router for around 2 years now, and we haven’t had any issues. It definitely gets the job done.
