This a great modem/router combo. Set up was easy, except the part where they don't tell you that upon first initialization that it'll take approximately 1hr for it to recognize any kind of signal from your cable company. Once that hour has gone by, it works great!! Just don't try to do it before trying to go to bed like I did & stay up waaaaay past your bedtime to make sure it worked properly. Lol. At nearly a 1GBB/S its EASY to set up and use. Once in the main router information and settings web page, it's real easy to set up for family use and requires little tweaking for the average user. NOTE: My only problem involved getting to that EASY interface as other installed Internet Security, browser and AV/Malware programs thought my local network was INSECURE or UNSAFE (weird) . There are two choices, either turn off your AV (Not recommended) or White List (AKA: Allowed websites) your private domain (Usually 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.200, as well as http://www.routerlogin.net and http://www.routerlogin.com (both are local). ENJOY!!!!!!

DO NOT RENT XFINITY MODEM FOR 10 EACH MONTH. DO NO PAY 99 DOLLARS FOR INSTALLATION. What you need to go is buy this modem from best buy and active it in any Xfinity Store. Speed - Fast. Gigabit ports. 802.11ac support. Setup - Easy setup with Comcast/Xfinity. No calls to make. Simply go to their activation site and wait 5-10 minutes. After one year, you pay 12*10+99=219, but the modem is still not yours if you rent. however you pay one time in best buy, the modem is yours and even though you plan to change to ATT, you can still use this modem.

I needed to upgrade an old cable modem and apple wireless router. The set up on this was extremely easy. I went from speeds that were half of what I was paying for from my ISP to speeds that are now at, or exceed, my contracted service speeds. Very happy with the investment. The dual band allows older devices to still connect wirelessly on the 2G and my newer devices connect on the 5G. I would recommend to anyone who's system is running on older, slower equipment. I can be on Zoom calls while both my sons are on line gaming and not have any buffer or lag issues.

This is actually the second purchase of this item, kind of. After purchasing the first time I set up my nighthawk quickly and easily and was off and running. Unfortunately some 10 days later or so I moved some furniture around and accidentally broke a prong on the power cord and was suddenly without an internet connection. After talking to Netgear and Best Buy they allowed me to exchange the nighthawk for a new one and was able to up and running once again. The nighthawk works great even running 3 TVs, multiple phones, PS4, and a few other items!

I switched from renting Comcast's modem and brought my own.. not only do I save money each month my speed seems like it triples virtually no lag on pag loads and the no buffering... Great Modem

Great speeds, and better range than my previous router/modem combo. Setup was pretty easy, and allows me to link my printer to print wirelessly.

Easy setup right out of the box, hardest part was calling the cable company to add the new modem to their network. Been working fine, better speed no more buffering.

Recently moved and signed up for Cox Cable. They provide media content, internet and phone service. The cable ready, modem/router unit they provided gave only 15-25 Mbps speeds for a line contracted to provide 50 Mbps. At least once a day, I would have to reset the modem. After 2 visits by Cox representatives, I decided to return the Cox modem/router. Installation of the Nighthawk was very simple to do. Since replacing the Cox devise, I have consistently gotten over 50 Mbps with speeds hitting 65 mbs. In almost 2 months, I have not had to restart it once. Range seems very good with good signal strength through out our 2000 sq ft condo and into the yard.

Easily installed. Working fine. Range adequate. Recommend it.

I'm a Spectrum customer at time of writing. I prefer having choice and control over my networking hardware - I'm picky, I'm quite technically able, and I hate having things hidden because of OEM or ISP restrictions. Setup on this was dead simple - the only thing that made it take any time was a little glitch with the activation page for spextrum on first logon, which was a Spectrum issue, not a modem issue. Performance so far has been great, with no complaints about coverage in a 2br apartment.

Great upgrade for our house’s Wi-Fi coverage and speed. Super fast and reliable connection and coverage that makes streaming tv shows and playing video games enjoyable.

Great router works awesome with Comcast. I’m getting over 600mbs with this thing. It’s powering 15 devices at my house and no issues.

I wish that I'd bought this sooner! I was renting the Comcast router, and every time I tried to stream something, it either wouldn't load or kept stopping and buffering, making it unwatchable. This router is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I can stream anything. And watch it with no annoying buffering, lagging, or stopping. My only regret is that I didn't purchase it sooner. If I could give it 10 stars, I would! Don't hesitate to buy this if you are experiencing the same problems that I was. I can't even begin to tell you how happy I am with this purchase!

This was an upgrade from my older netgear wifi router. Easy setup and noticeable difference on performance, no more buffering while multiple devices connected.
