    This is an excellent wifi cable modem router. It has excellent security features and logging available, along with guest network capabilities. It supports MAC filtering, which is nice for locking down access. I also use the NetGear Genie feature to automatically backup all of our laptops over the wireless network. I also purchased one of these for my father and my son.

    This solved multiple problems: We have plaster wall where previously with Comcast equipment we lost reception in bedrooms- no more issues, we were paying monthly rental to them and this unit will pay for itself in 6 months, daughter who games no more slow down. A few other minor improvements but hallelujah breakdown. Super easy to set up.

    We purchased this at the recommendation of a Best Buy home tech consultant along with an Orbi system. They’re doing a great job keeping our 3 kids streaming their online classes simultaneously with no glitching during the pandemic.
