    I think the unit we got was faulty because I ended up returning the next day when I couldn’t get it to work after being on the phone with Cox for hours.

    I had it for 2 weeks. It rained and Comcast told me I had a signal coming in, I would need to call Netgear. I called Netgear, and before they would even help me, they kept stressing how I only get 3 mths free technical assistance and after that if I don't buy their $225/yr tech support, they cannot help me. What kind of scam is that? I had the modem for 2 wks. It rained, it went out. I went to Bestbuy to ask them about this tech support scam and they said they never heard of that. I called Netgear back and sure enough I was told I have 3 mths of free tech support and after that I have to pay. I took it back to Bestbuy. I will never buy a Netgear product.

    Seems to work pretty good, set up was annoying , customer service overseas and definite language barrier. I felt this was pretty expensive.

    Highly recommend if you do not have telephone over cable service. Less robust brands offer also telephone port.
