    This is probably a good cable modem, but we did not realize that it would not work for us, because we asked an employee what kind of modem/router would we need for century link and he suggested this one and when we tried to hook it up it did not work and we called and it was the wrong type.

    Purchased this unit new in 2023.. Had issues with it since the start. Spectrum and Netgear techs agreed it wouldn't work as it was too new and the Spectrum signal could not handle the feed. Netgear agreed and said to try in a few months. Could not bring it back as I was past the return date. Decided to install it this year ( 2025) and still same issue.. even with the new firmware. Worthless...

    i couldn't get it to work correctly with cox cable. i even called netgear and tried to get setup help and it still had intermittent transmission. so i had to return it and just used the cox router, which worked fine.

    Verdict is not yet out on this unit. I was expecting noticeable performance improvements from my old netgear and (7 years old) so far that doesn't seem to be the case, especially with the dual band feature. Wifi range also suspect. To be fair, I have not had this long enough yet.
