We bought this to replace my asus router which was a 1200 router ... a sales assistant recommended this one to us .... we purchased in stalled it it was working perfectly fine ... but 2 months later we had problems .. we noticed it would crash .. we called our service provider they came and checked our high speed internet our connection was good ... they checked our router it was defective .... I didn't buy the protection for it but it hasnt been long

This is not a bad cable modem or anything like that. It just did not have the ability to block access to individual devices on a schedule.

Have got this for a year. The 5G mode is not stable and I experienced very frequent disconnection on both my laptop and desktop.

So far this has not given me any problems and it’s super fast!

Leve this modem. Super fast and does the job. Would buy again.

Had a netgear router/modem that I replaced with this model. The old unit finally ran its course after almost four years. I have had nothing but issues with this new unit. Constantly have to resign in with password. Fails to show up on my wifi. My daughters have the exact computers and age and one of the computers will not connect to it, but she does not have a problem connecting to any other router. Have gotten to the point that I will be returning the unit and look for a different model.

Works as promised. I would highly recommend this modem/router.

Actual product works ok. But if you bought in part because of features provided by Nighthawk app, think again. The app is TERRIBLE! i just paid good money and I find out the app doesn't have parental controls as advertised. I also wanted to use app to shut off wifi signal at night. Cant do that either. App is glitchy. Poor job Netgear. Id look elsewhere for a router/modem combo

I bought this router so I could stop paying the monthly fee to my ISP, and this router drops the signal constantly. I literally had to wait for the signal to reconnect as I was login into my account to write this long overdue review. Not at all worth the absurd cost of this machine.

Return this because it didn’t have the option for my telephone. I have a fax machine and need the telephone hook up

The router is good but parental controls lack changing time by day of the week. Linksys routers have that capability, however, this routers better at filtering content

This router has mostly worked well until recently. It now needs to be restarted daily. It seems that NETGEAR firmware is notorious for this. I liked everything else about this modem and router, but having to restart daily is a real deal breaker.

The signal is on and off sometime. I'm not so sure because of my provider or my modem

Haven’t had it for 6 months. Drop connections at least 10-20 times a day. Netgear support is utterly useless. Can’t return the item because it’s passed the return day policy. Netgear says in order to continue with helping me I must purchase a contract cheapest being 150. Lol. Save yourself the money and buy something else.
