limited to some providers so not so good only because it has very little choices besides that its a great modem router

Do not get for anything about 500 Mb service. Otherwise fine but higher service transfer rates will periodically drop connection.

Not as good as i hoped, stuck with my N600 instead and speed was just as good, we only had about 12 devices at that time though.

This is a decent modem. I found out it would not perform at the speeds I needed so I had to return the modem for a different one.

Worked okay. Until it stopped working after 6 months. Called tech support and was told since I ordered more than 90 days ago, I’m not covered for tech support. They sent links to troubleshoot and told me that I needed to download new firmware. I was unable to use the app on my phone because I couldn’t connect to wifi. Tried my Mac with an Ethernet cable. The website would not load to the point where I could access the firmware update; whenever I got close I would have no internet connection. Tried on my husband’s chromebook. He couldn’t download the app to try to download the firmware because his device doesn’t support Google Play. The website would not open for him either. Three different devices. Two computers less than two years old. Best Buy - Netgear is a garbage company. I regret this purchase and hope they lose their spot in your shelves.

I'm not the first person to write about this issue. I purchased this router/modem model from Best-Buy in April 2020. The minor issue is that you have to restart your modem at least once a week by unplugging it from power and plugging it again. No big deal but annoying! If you don't, everything is slower than usual. The big issue is when the modem stops working completely. It will happen between 5 - 6 months from purchase date. When you call NETGEAR, they will tell you it's a software setting issue, it can be fixed, but you have to pay for tech support because you are out of the 90 day support warranty period. After reading online all the people whom reported this issue, I came to the conclusion that NETGEAR programmed this issue to happen purposely. It's a way for them to make more money. I will never purchase any NETGEAR product again. THIS IS NOT AN ETHICAL COMPANY!

Purchased item on the recommendation of a store employee. Item is suppose to cover a 3000 sq foot house my is below and the signal is weak in some rooms of the house..

Just getting it connected was a hassle. I was on the phone for an hour with spectrum because although it says spectrum on the box it was not on their approved list when trying to do the online self activation. Once it was up and running by that same night it disconnected itself and needed to be reset. I’m told this is do to the internal chip it uses. I returned it and got an aris surfboard 32 channels with a google WiFi 3 pack and everything has been amazing since.

I bought this to save on my cable bill however it does not have a phone jack input so I can't use it.

This modem router combo is decent. But the parental controls are very lacking with only option to kill all access or everyone has access.

I bought it so I didn't have to pay Comcast and ended up get someone else and had to get another one because this one wasn't kicking out enough power they said.

It works great I don’t have to reset it every two hours

worked great for about a year and half. then it got hot to the touch and wifi speed got slow.

I got this modem in order to cut cable and use to watch my roku tv with out lag. So far not as good as they said. I use 400mbs but dont get that.

worked great for 3 months then it dropped internet on and off all day long. Had time warner technicians come out 8 times thinking it was my internet provider.. but once they hooked up their modem all worked well. Called netgear they sent me a new modem after 2 hours on the phone arguing with me .. the same thing went wrong with the 2nd modem.... now they are sending me a third one with no argument.. hopefully this one will work.. When this modem works it is great... but so far it is worthless

The issues I have could be due to my system so I don't want to give too low of a rating but this did not work well for me.

When I ordered this item, I was assured if I ordered in within a certain timeframe I would receive it the next day, so I ordered it. Once they had my money, I was notified that I would not receive the item for two weeks. Couldn't cancel the order and pick it up at another store and after speaking with four individuals they told me they could not do anything to help or compensate me for this inconvenience. Lesson learned. If I really need something in the future, I will use Amazon.

It is really hard to tell if it is the product or timewarner. However, I think this product is expensive for the amount of times that my internet turns itself off.

the only reason this did not getb5 stars is the voice output was reversed and required modifications to the house wire.
