I purchased the NETGEAR Nighthawk AC 1900 WiFi Cable Modem Router for my first home. The service provider in the area was Spectrum, and the NETGEAR box said Spectrum was compatible. I hooked everything up and started having slow internet to no internet within the first month. Getting 32mbps when paying for 200. I thought it was a Spectrum issue, not a NETGEAR issue, so I had Spectrum come out to my property to check the line connection (which I paid for). They told me the lines were "re-cleaned" and everything should be fine again. However, the following month, I called Spectrum back again because the issue was not resolved. They had me unplug and re-plug the cord back into the wall for a reset. This happened almost every single month for an entire year. Finally Spectrum told me it was not a problem on their end but that they think it had something to do with my NETGEAR Nighthawk. I couldn't believe it because it was a brand new Modem Router that was top of the line at the store that advertised compatibility with Spectrum. I ended up getting an Arris to see if it was indeed an issue with my NETGEAR Nighthawk, and it was. The Arris worked getting us connect way over the 200 mbps I am paying for. I have not had any issues with my internet since making the change. So it was NOT a Spectrum issue, it was a NETGEAR issue. I've had the Arris now for 2 months and am loving it. I did call NETGEAR about my issue and they told me I missed the return policy by a few days and wouldn't help me after a 48 minute WASTED phone call with customer service. I had forgotten to register my NETGEAR product when I purchased it, so when I wsa speaking with the customer service representative, they registered it for me but wouldn't help me as a new customer. I tried explaining the situation to Best Buy - where I purchased the NETGEAR Nighthawk, but Best Buy said it was past their return policy. Now I have wasted over $219.99 on a product that simply was not compatible with my service provider in which they advertise they work with and where the hardware may have technical issues. Not a happy customer and wanted to make everyone aware of my issue so they don't have the same. I found out a friend of mine in the area had the same issue and switched over to an Arris and haven't had an issues since as well. I will NOT purchase a NETGEAR product ever again. They product is trash and their customer service was even worse.

It's an awsome router. My internet is a lot faster now.

Bought this modem/router to replace Cable One rental modem becuse the rental couldn't keep up with all my wireless items. This modem has stronger wifi signals at 5ghz and I currently have 3 Roku's, 2 laptops, 3 cellphones, Xbox and Ps4 all running off the wifi simultaneously and bot to mention 2 hard wired devices.

Easy setup with TWC. It is really fast very pleased

Max download speeds I received on a good day with gig speed internet service is 900mbps. Most of the time is hovers around the 500-700mbps. Pretty decent all in one combo and pretty good bang for your buck.

Hi, I got the new Netgear C7000 (Nighthawk AC1900 cable modem - wifi router combo) as Netgear claimed it can bond with 24 downstream channels, hence better surfing experience. I had old C6300 that has 16x4 bonding, this one has 24x8. However, after I activated new modem, it still bonds 16 down and 4 up, instead of 24 down and 8 up. I called TWC, they say its Netgear issue. Called Netgear, they did not even understand initially what channel bonding is, the very point on which they are selling this modem and were of no help - they asked me to talk to TWC again!! I called TWC again this morning, they said this modem should bond with 24 channels, but technically 16 channel bonding was sufficient for the 100 Mbps plan I am on (am already getting 118 Mbps down, thanks TWC, am very satisfied customer). I personally think, a 16x4 modem can be fine with over 500mbps package as well, if TWC introduces it in future. I did factory reset on the C7000 router, still it was bonding 16x4. I then called Geek Squad. They could not understand or help me at all! Then the agent said that he can have someone come over to my home, thats a $100 bucks. This is such a sham. I am returning the modem, and keep my existing C6300 modem. This has been a biggest disappointment! I think its better to wait for DOCSIS 3.1 modems to be introduced (DOCSIS 3.1 system can offer upto 10Gbps down speeds). Poor show!

So far, so good ! It has supported the internet for two computers, both direct cable and wi-fi. It has also handled all of our smart TV functions to our satisfaction. No fifth star because I have not had it long enough for true durability criteria.

Worked well for a few years until it just died. Purchased a replacement of the same.

It's an alright option for the time-being. Definitely going to upgrade later.

This is the second one. The other lasted years. Would recommend and would buy another.

Good product. Initially had to connect customer care for installation but issue resolved after representative visit at the location. Technician fixed the installation issues.

WoW...The Wi-Fi Is in creditable...I Pick Up In Different Rooms And On Different Devises

I like the item a little expensive but it's ok i am not happy about them adding membership i didn't ask for still sorting out that mess

I've had the product for around 5 months now. I purchased this product when I moved to Time Warner. Sometimes I get blazing speeds and sometimes I don't. The pros: - They have some good diagnostic tools that help you figure out if you are getting good signal from the provider. The cons: - Even if you get good signal from the provider, I experience a lot of drops in the service. Using the tools, we identified that the signal coming to us from TWC was weak initially. They came over and "fixed" the problem - not sure what they did. I still experienced some drops and called the Netgear support for help. They had me change the channels. So far I've probably experienced 4-5 drops over a few months. I am going to monitor a few more days to see where the problem exactly is. When I figure out that it's not the modem's, I will update the review and the rating.

Easily installed and provides great WIFI range. very compact and neat

Works great but I have to keep a fan on it. It gets hot and then starts having intermittent service.

Had TWC rental modem and finally broke down and bought this.....I can honestly say it's one of the best internet item's I have purchased. All the good reviews are right on the mark with this modem !!!!
