Best Modem/Router I've ever had
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The speed is incredible for both WiFi and Ethernet, not too big so it fits behind my TV, can handle multiple devices and setup wasn't to difficult. The downside is port forwarding is not that great. Also, I had to get a replacement because the Ethernet ports stopped working, even though I had it for a year and a half so get the warranty.

Great so far
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very easy to set up. Was able to cancel my rental with Xfinity and getting better internet. I have only had it for a day but I am getting great speed. Decided to cut out cable and just stream YouTubeTV and Netflix so I needed something with great speed. This has been wonderful so far.

Great product!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love it!! I upgraded my xfinity plan but it was still slow. Using this makes my WiFi a whole lot faster! In my household, there’s 2 ps4, 4 iPads, 3 tv’s all being used at the same time and the Sufi is pretty good. My bf says the ps4 doesn’t lag no more so that’s a plus.

Reliable Router/Modem Combo
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this router/modem combo to use with 200 mbps internet at my apartment. I chose the AC1900 version because I was sick of having unreliable internet connections. With this product I experience fast internet throughout the 2 bed apartment while using multiple devices all streaming video. It was easy to set up and perfect for what I needed.

Vast improvement over old modem/router
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent replacement for cable company modem / router. Now I can reach our whole house which is a vast improvement. With this router, I did not need to go to a mesh system. Saved a few hundred therefore on the upgrade. Highly recommended.

Zero Problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially bought the Netgear N600 Dual Band and had to return it. The 2.4Ghz was not working. I decided to get this and have zero problems and great connectivity all the way to the garage. Although I'm paying for internet well below the capability of this, I am able to get stronger internet during peak hours. I pay for 50mpbs but can get up to 60 or 65.

Netgear Cable Modem
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This thing is a beast. It was the fastest cable modem that I could find, and it also allows for multichannel wifi at super fast speeds. Basically buying this compared to renting a cable services modem for the course of a year pays for its self. I have not had any complaints about it.

excellent wifi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.while having 2 streams going at the same time it performed very well.setup was simple enough but had to call Comcast to finish the internet setting.i also have vonage hooked up to it and no problem at all.for me it was a wise investment knowing I don't have to pay 10.00 for leasing one.would recommend to anybody that wants a high performing modem router.

Fast setup, great speed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted something that would replace my older modem and router setup after the router died. I didn’t see the point of renting a gateway from Comcast when I could own it outright. The speeds are great and I’ve not had a problem with connectivity since I installed the gateway. The Genie app is also a handy little tool.

Made a difference
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router made a huge difference in internet speeds. My old spectrum router kept going off on my iPhone and on multiple devices. Now with this one, it doesn't have that issue anymore. Easy to set up, just call Spectrum or your internet provider so they can approve of the new router.

Router/Modem combo
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this after my older netgear was starting to break down after more than 5 years of use. I prefer buy router/modem in one rather than separately. The speed and range is so much better than what I'm used to, as I would have expected.

Great router most of the time, confusing options
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I switched internet providers, I wanted a really good router/modem combination, to save on space and power requirements. This cable modem/router had the best ratings I could find. Plus I've always been a fan of Netgear products. Pros ===== + Dual 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz bands. Great wireless performance (most of the time, see Cons below) + Simple user interface, lots of configurable options + Handles the needs of my family, with 4 PCs and a couple of dozen iPads, Kindles, phones, etc. Cons ===== - Wireless drops out semi-randomly, every few days. During the drop outs, the hard wired connections work fine, just the wireless (both bands) drop out and get reset. When this happens, the wireless usually comes back about a minute later. I tried checking the router logs but they are inconclusive. I think this is a bug in the router firmware and hope they release a new version soon. - Many options have confusing names. One option, "Disable Port Scan and DoS Protection", was checked by default from the factory. This means that this protection was disabled by default. I read from different sites that this should be _enabled_ (unchecked) for maximum protection, which I did. Now the router logs show dozens of DoS attacks. Not sure what to think about this. Should the option be on or off? - No capability to block a specific IP address. I wish I could just block all traffic from one address, rather than have it show up in the logs with DoS attacks. Netgear says their firewall automatically detects and blocks IPs, but I want to be able to totally block a specific IP. Netgear really should fix this. Summary ======== Overall I'm actually really happy with this router, in spite of the cons. I really think it needs a firmware update to address my concerns. It does perform really well, but if the wireless drops at exactly the wrong time (like during my son's gaming sessions) it's bad news and ruins his game.
