I was having problems with the new modem I had bought so I purchased this one and it works great.

Was using old Motorola router/modem. With Comcast, internet speed was incredibly slow. Swapped out the modem for the Netgear and immediately not only was the wifi much faster, but also stronger and Netflix on the smart TV was much crisper picture. Now I just need to convince my son to install a booster on the 2nd floor.

We had a older netgear (The 900) before and hoped that by buying this one that we would get better Internet a router and modem that we could reduce All the extra cords behind our couch. We have cox so we went to the cox sight and it was cited as being able to upgrade to a higher internet package . From the 150 to the 300. Well after installing which was not simple like all past modems to trying to install the new genie app (which is very poor, no support by phone email or chat) we Also had to speak with cox to reassign the service to anew modem. That was hours of with time on the phone and the chat line. Cox informed us that it was not upgradeable to the increased speed . And after a month of use we can say it was not worth it. Just keeping the equipment now so we can give the old stuff to our college age kid or senior mom for some start up or replacement equipment. No increase in speed at all and we did internet speed tests with old modem and new. Will not by a netgear in the future.

I would recommend this router/modem combo for anyone. The range is great for a medium sized home.

Easy set up and finally get to take use of all those expensive 802.11 AC wifi products. Now if your wondering is the price worth it?? Yes yes yes I actually get 16mb more the I pay for with this while using an old 802.1n device I saw a loss of 26mb. So it speaks for itself in a huge way no load times and no lag spikes truly the best!

So far this router modem works fine and range is good and unit has a appealing sleek appearance.

This Router has improved our internet capabilities by a lot. The one we had was the one that came with the service. Realizing they don't give the best ones to customers, we shopped and found this one. It truly is a much better product.
