I'm so frustrated. I bought this based on an incorrect recommendation from a Best Buy chat agent. I messed up by not hooking it up until the return window had passed. This item does NOT have parental controls.

I recently went over to PS Vue for my TV, and was having some issues with it unexpectedly buffering, which I thought were down to my old modem, so I settled on this product. It didn't solve anything - in fact, it made matters worse. What I found was that it doesn't handle IPv6 addresses properly - any IPv6 capable device (wired or wireless) on the network would randomly reassign itself an IP address that was outside of the "block" reserved in the router - often, it was an address in Tokyo City Hall! (Note: I have screenshots to prove it). When this happened, the router would perceive it as being under a DoS attack and towards the end, would lock up completely in these circumstances. Disabling IPv6 in the device in question stopped it having an issue, but there's no way to disable it either in Apple devices or completely disable it in the router itself. I had my phone and internet provider (Spectrum) enable internet on the phone modem, switched over to it and have seen no issues since. From some online research, I'm not the only person seeing this sort of thing on Netgear products. Overall, a very disappointing experience from a supposed "market leader" in networking.

Bought this hoping that it would expand the reach of my wifi to the other end of my house and the range is not that much better than the cable modem from my cable service provider going to have to probably get a WiFi extender it's a great product just didn't do what I was hoping it to do.

I needed to upgrade my modem and router for years and this was suggested to me at best buy for my needs. It has done fine but the internet has been glitchy at times. Sometimes I wish I had stayed with my old equipment

With the understanding that wifi isn't stronger than direct cable internet (or whatever it's called), my router works well. Since purchasing on 4/20/20 (currently 5/25/20) my signal has been weak 3x. Internet speed is fine, I have no complaints.

Got this so I didn’t have to pay for rental fees for the over priced Comcast equipment that looks like garbage and most of the time is refurbished . For the most part it’s been good but my Samsung frame has been disconnected twice already
