Not that great

I think my older netgear modem router combo was better and it was way cheaper than this. I don’t know if I would recommend this product. That was probably why itwas on sale.

Works fine as a router

There are however only (4) ports which is not enough to support my setup. Also bought this to use with comcast voice and gigabit internet. Comcast has told me neither of those options are available using this router.

Inconsistent performance
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We were finally upgrading from DSL (too slow and would stop working when it rained!) and purchased this as the best modem/router on the TimeWarner list of devices to choose from. Should have bought something cheaper. Within a week, it would stop working, and pushing "reset" only worked for a little while. When I contacted TW customer service, they told me to completely unplug all the wires for a couple of minutes (which does work). When I asked why this keeps happening, I was told that is is a function of the device, that not all devices work well with TW. Then why is it on their list of approved devices? It is super fast when working.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is probably a good cable modem, but we did not realize that it would not work for us, because we asked an employee what kind of modem/router would we need for century link and he suggested this one and when we tried to hook it up it did not work and we called and it was the wrong type.
