Disappointed
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish that sales folks had mentioned that this product is not telephony compatible. It said on box was xfinity compatible (combo router/modem) but if you also have a bundle thru comcast with a land line- land line will not work even with comcast stand alone modem. After getting all set up- realized phone did not work- very disappointing- I would only recommend it if you didn't need a land line- wish someone had shared that bit of info:) ....

Coax connector failed within first week
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this modem/router after my reliable Arris SB8200 started to fail (dropping and resetting every 10-15 minutes). The Netgear was not as easy to set up as indicated in other reviews, and I needed to call Xfinity and have them activate it because the auto-activation online wanted to replace my other modem which is an X1 leased modem/router in a different part of the house. Once set up, it worked well and wifi signal was strong enough for the upstairs rooms directly above. Where things went south was, I unplugged the wires and coax from the back so I could move the modem to a higher shelf, and when I reconnected the wires, the internet was offline. I called Netgear support and they walked me through resetting the modem. Then I called Xfinity and they verified that it was offline. I reconnected my old SB8200 and Xfinity was able to verify that it was connected and working (using it right now), so it was determined to clearly be a bad coax connector on the back of the Netgear modem. This Netgear is going back!

Jury still out!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It has not been a week yet. The router kicks us off the internet sometimes. Debating about bringing it back to the store.

Worked well, easy setup
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In an effort to cut cable costs, we bought this to replace Xfinity's box. Setting it up was easy but had to be coordinated with Xfinity. We didn't end up keeping it long though because Xfinity ended up offering us a great deal with their XFI plan and I ended up returning this after all.

Not giving me the max speed for download & upload
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good price but I thought it would handle 4 or 5 connected units. Still learning what its limit is.

Not worth the money!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install, but it has poor range. My new 2018 gaming computer is sits only 15 feet from the two-in-one router modem combo, and I am still getting slow dial-up speeds. I pay Comcast for 250 Mbps and with this set up, I average between 19 and 27 Mbps. I would suggest, going with a different unit and definitely a different internet provider; Comcast has been nothing but a hassle sense day one.

BEWARE: Does not work with Xfnity Wireless Mini's
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was told by Best Buy associate that this was fully compatible with Xfinity supplied Gateway that Xfinity rents to customers for $13 per month. Figured I could buy this and avoid the rental charges. Box say works with Xfinity...problem is it does not support Xfinity wireless "mini's" , usually used to connect TV's other than the main TV (bedrooms; kitchen etc.). If you have the "mini's", you must rent the Xfinity gateway to get connectivity. Because of Best Buy's misinformation, I had to pay for Xfinity to bring back their Gateway and set it up again. Not a happy experience.
