Didn't work

Failed after five months

Owned for 5 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After five months, modem could no longer maintain connection to cable internet for more than 30 minutes. WiFi transmitter also seems to be failing and cannot maintain local WiFi network connections with or without internet connectivity. Reprovisioning, rebooting, and reconnecting cabling did not work. To troubleshoot, I tried an Xfi Xfinity modem/router and it worked immediately and has not lost connection once, so it doesn’t look like a signal or line issue (all new cables were installed from the pole to the router when I bought this modem five months ago). I could not reach support for warranty replacement, so this is an expensive purchase I regret. Your mileage may vary.

Great Cable modem

Loses connection every few minutes

After inspecting the router logs, found that a DoS attack was happening. Trying to resolve the issue and did a full factory reset, but nothing. Did more researcher and found that this is a common problem with any Netgear router.

Very Disappointed

Ive been very disappointed with the buffering and Mbps output. Ive ran tests everywhere in the house even sitting 5 feet from the box and never gotten higher than 129 Mbps on any reading from the nighthawk app. Im trying to replace the xfinity modem/router combo and this isnt the answer for my place. I waited to long to bring back to Best Buy to exchange so now im stuck with a useless product.

Had 11 people at house with phones, playing internet games and watching Netflix and transmission was great and never dropped communication.
