Not a great product

Internal firewall is absolute sh1t. The ISPs are supposed to help protect their nets, but in a DDoS situation this device and the ISP are just terrible. I would jot recommend this product.

Faulty unit

Had to return it. Called the Netgear people and they said other people were having the same problem and they were looking into it.

Trash drops internet consistently

Netgear technical supports access only lasts a few months for free. I haven't had this router for a year. Please look at something else.

Just BAD

Buy the first one in September and randomly drops the Internet connection every day. After calling Comcast and Netgear, they both blame each other for the problem. I decide to return it in December and exchange it. I install the second modem and in several hours the same thing, Internet dropping problem. After searching and reading on the Internet about a cable modems I decided to return it and buy a Motorola MB7621 and a Linksys router model EA7200. Now I never have problems with the Internet.

Faulty after 1 year

Worked well at the start, however the 4 Ethernet ports on the back shorted one by one. Less than 2 years after purchase, none of the Ethernet ports work. Pretty disappointed as i use this for Gaming.
