I'm not bashing BBY, this review is solely targeted at Netgear the manufacturer. I bought this modem/router July 2019, it's been 9 months and the modem's been acting up, periodically losing connections and resetting/erasing wifi settings by itself. I thought I had a 1-year manufacturer warranty covered, WRONG! you only get 90-days warranty, if your Netgear network product goes down between 90-days and up to a year like in my situation, you have to pay Netgear EXTRA to get it replaced/repaired under RMA! I don't think I'll ever buy another Netgear network equipment in my life.

Although wireless seemed to work fine, I could never get the usb port to recognize any hard drive plugged into it. Chatted with both netgear and Western Digital. No luck. Never had problems with netgear in the past, but this one was a dud.

    Doesn't Work With Spectrum Ultra

I bought this because of the listed speeds that it could handle. After installing it and setting it up I called Spectrum and had them upgrade my internet speed to the Ultra (400Mbps). For the next three weeks I kept testing my speed and I didn't get anything over 100mbps. I called Spectrum several times and they couldn't figure it out either. Eventually Spectrum sent out a support tech to find out what was wrong. Apparently because this modem is only DOCSIS 3.0 it does not support the higher speeds (it needs to be 3.1). I have since returned this modem/router.

Hi not at all what I was expecting, the hardware is faulty and it lasted just 4 months working correctly and of course that puts you out of warranty, Netgear will ask you to buy another of their products online (Gearhead) just to be able to get support...

The product advertises that it works with spectrum and it does to an extent. There were constant package drops, and connectivity issues. If you can deal with the drops and having to reboot the modem and/or just have a wired connection then this is great.

Weak reception in the house---but I'm not sure if it's the product or the Time Warner service delivered to the neighborhood and my house. It hasn't been much of an upgrade from the small TW router---when it should have been. At least I'm not giving that money to cable company to "lease" their equipment...ugh

Great product and does what I need it to do. The router/modem is just a tad on the larger side, so it won’t do well if you were looking to hide the router in a small space.
