Slow

Had internet company out and they say there connection is great. Would like to call Netgear but after 90 days you have to pay either per call or they have different monthly plans. I need help to see what’s wrong with my Netgear but don’t have the extra money for a phone call.

Doesn’t work with Comcast

They can’t see my modem. It connects but slow internet. After researching for hours. I found it’s a firmware update. And Netgear says cable provider needs to send the update. While Comcast tech support are completely useless. Do not buy. Too much of a headache. Find another modem. Trust me.

Bad service from store to produce

Their exchange policy is expired they won’t even help you. All they said is no Return or exchange “THAT’S YOUR PROBLEM”. My daughter bought this modern for me as a birthday present, but she didn’t know it’s only work with Comcast. Our provider is Verizon, when I try to hook it up it won’t work at all. So I bring it back to bestbuy ask to exchange that’s what they said to me.... THAT’S YOUR PROBLEM..!!! I never buy anything from this store again.

weak signal
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i purchased this router on the recommendation of a Geek Squad agent & a Netgear agent. i was trying to find one that would carry a strong enough signal throughout my home. was told it had a strong signal for a large home up to 4000 sq. ft. My home is less than 1500 and from one room to the next, i only get one bar. useless. after troubleshooting with netgear, they now recommend another one that costs $400. really? for a tiny home i need the largest router possible? ridiculous. disappointed with both product and service recommendations.

Poor Video

Since I had Comcast, Comcast told me I needed an Arris Surfboard for it to be compatible with Comcast. So I exchanged it for that particular brand.

Best Buy & Netgear both flopped

After 2 weeks back and forth with Netgear and Xfinity, Netgear admitted on Jan 16 there was a hardware problem and to return it to Best Buy. Tried on Jan 17 but found out that Best Buy return policy expired Jan 16. I mistakenly assumed I had 90 days. Ended up throwing this piece of junk in the trash. I will not use Best Buy online again, and probably won’t buy another piece of electronics there because of your policy.

Fast forward to today and it is my 4th C7000 (replaced by Netgear 3 times - yep 3 times - after much hassel). Anyway, the modem will work fine for a few months and then start dropping the connection frequently - all the lights go off and it reboots itself. My latest "new" one lasted 3 months and it is doing it again!!! Netgear do not seem to be able to fix this issue (probably a defective component in it). Anyway today I bought a different brand and have my fingers crossed. This expensive Netgear was NOT worth the trouble.

Netgear router

I called the company to fix it. We spent ( wasted) hours trying to solve it and we couldn't solve it. I requested an exchange. I got a new one with the same issues and when I called the Netgear company and try to fix the issues they were unable to do it. I requested a reimbursement, they never reply. I called and they sent emails and they never honor the 1 year warranty. I recommend it to nobody.
