Doesn't work well with TWC. Do the search
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my TWC. Once I got it hooked up and TWC connected to it I noticed my internet and wifi would completely drop out almost every hour and no PC could get internet access. I called TWC and they did a check and the internet connection was fine. Did a web search and turns out this is a constant issue with this device. And Netgear CS is no help. Its a shame. I had a whole home network that was dedicated Netgear products, I have started switching them out for Linksys and TP-Link and have been much happier.

Firmware was out of date
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The firmware was out of date, and the only way to update it was through my internet provider, Suddenlink. They refused to update it because I did not buy it through them. Netgear should allow the purchaser to update the firmware. I ended up buying a modem/ router from Suddenlink for only $80, and suddenly my speeds vastly improved as well.

2 in one is not better than...
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wifi does not seem to give the speed I wanted. You may need to disable the wifi and purchase a better wifi system.

Great combination
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this so that I could combine the router and modem into one. It works well, but I have some range issues that I didn't have with my old router.

Even Comcast couldn't get it to work
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I followed the instructions, it did not work. They include the phone number for your provider.....they know there will be problems. 3 hours into setup with a Comcast person on the phone and Comcast wanted to send out a tech (in 3 weeks) to "look" at the router. Item will be returned. I expect a full refund. I will update this review.

WiFi Continually drops
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well, it installed easily enough, but it keeps dropping Wifi coverage, so much so that my NEST cameras and doorbell continually drop off the network. So does the Roku. The ASUS router never had an issue with it.

Continuously Disconnects - Customer Service Awful
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this item new, disconnected 10-20 times/day (both wireless and hardwired). Customer support is useless, probably the worst I have ever encountered. Called multiple times, transferred multiple times each call and placed on long holds each time, never resolving the issue. I've returned it and picked up a Motorola one.

Absolute crap
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. What a piece of junk. I bought this to be be free from the Comcast trolls. Hooked it up with no issues only to find that it would only run up to 250mbps max. I was on the phone with Comcast and with netgear. Comcast did what they could but it’s not their equipment. Netgear couldn’t figure out what was wrong, let alone could you understand the guy in the other end of the phone. Hot garbage.

Netgear Support Terrible
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Began having download speed issues ~6 months after purchase. ISP was adamant that it was an issue with an "unhealthy modem." Netgear support is abysmal. Attempting to create a case online returns an error, and after calling I was informed that while my hardware warranty is active, I would have to pay for a technical support plan.

Not Happy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Net Gear Nighthawk. Purchased this modem router to watch streaming videos. Confirmed with Best Buy employees that it would work for 400 mbps. Spent many months trying to figure out why network speeds were so slow. Finally got a tech out from spectrum and said the modem was not capable of handling the speeds. Spectrum tech said they were having a great deal of problems with NETGEAR

The C7000 is dual-band and can handle the following speeds: (600 Mbps @2.4GHz +1300 Mbps @5GHz) I have linked the data sheet:

Not happy at all
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this modem router combo after reading reviews by more than 11k users. However, the positive reviews and 4+ stars did not work for me. Speed of internet drops drastically intermittently. My 5G network also vanishes from a network. I called Netgear and an internet provider both. Both blame each other for my issue. I don't have option other than returing the product.

Keeps dropping wifi
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked great for three months then began to drop WiFi once a day. Turning it off and on would reset it most of the time. Sometimes you have to reset it three times a day, sometimes it won’t bring WiFi back up for an hour. Some days it is fine but about 20 days a month it needs to be reset. Searching the internet and Netgear site for a fix didn’t help.

Works as advertised
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not much to say as we are utilizing the netgear mainly for WiFi. In our opinion it is much more economical than renting one from xfinity.

Waste of money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Would of returned it if I already had another modem, the connection is good for streaming tv. When I try to play online gaming on my Xbox one x, I only get about 50 mbps when my internet with xfinity goes up to 400 mbps and mind you that when I play online i disconnect all other devices. The only way it works if I connect ther Ethernet cord.

Unresponsive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got it a month ago and was working ok, had 3 instances where the router would blink and disconnect from the internet but it wasn't a big deal. Recently, it disconnects from the internet like 4 times a Day! I have to reset, reboot, and other methods to make it "usable". Bought for the purpose to stop paying rental fees, but i think I'm going to stick to paying a rental to have stable connection as i was already having. DO NOT BUY!

Fine but only for 18 months, then quit working.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Worked fine for 18 months, then it stopped connecting to the internet. Ran through diagnostics; it would connect intermittently when powered off/on, but then it would lose connection. Not the ISP's fault. Disappointed with short life. Other owners have had the same problem. Warranty is only 12 months.
