Excellent Modem/gateway
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best modem/router I've owned. Do not hesitate on buying because of the price, this is by far the best gateway out in the market right now. I pay for 50mbs and constantly get 58 Mbps on any given night . No drop outs either .

Lightening fast internet
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow, just wow. We have very high speed internet through xfinity but the modem/router combo we were renting from them seemed to limit the capabilities of the speeds we were paying for. Installed this bad boy in 2 minutes and I can't even believe the night and day difference. Netflix loads a movie or show instantly and streams in HD with absolutely zero buffering time. Gaming on Xbox one is flawless with no lag. Currently we are running 2 MacBooks, 2 tablets, 2 smartphones, the Xbox, a Philips Hue lighting system, and an Amazon Echo all over wifi and we have no compromise in speed.

Great product - misleading extended warranty offer
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned this product for less than a week, but a couple of networking issues with my laptop and our smart TV have already resolved. It was easy to setup too. My only complaint is that I received an insert in the user's guide to get an extended warranty with support (phone, chat, etc.). The wording exactly stated: Extended Warranty and Support Starting at $49.99 For the first 2 years I initially interpreted that to mean I'd pay $49.99 total for 2 years. Well after registering the product, it turns out the extended warranty and support was $79.99 PER YEAR!!! I wish they had been more transparent and said something like: Extended Warranty and Support Ranging from $49.99 - $79.99 each year for the first 2 years But other than the warranty issue, I'm sure I'll be satisfied with this product.

Traded for Xfinity
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchase this router to get rid of my cable providers monthly fee. As far as the setup went xfinity was unable to connect and send me a new signal with my new IP address. After spending hours on the phone I called netgear customer service and was able to connect within minutes. With that being said. We have 3 smart TVs, 2 pc, 2 cell phones, nest thermostats and ring box plus the hue for outside lighting. The house is about 3000 feet and I have no problems with connections or slowing down of the network. I'm hoping eventually I can cut my cable bill now that I have been able to master everything else.

By far the best one,...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easiest and most user friendly cable modem router out there, the speed is ok, but I'm hoping a newer firmware would be able to max out my current internet speed.

Easy Setup and Installation
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quick to setup. You will need to open ports for xbox one to work if using xbox live. I have not had any issues with this device as I did with my Arris Modem\Router. I would recommend this device. It is a bit pricey but its been solid for me with Comcast/Xfinity.

Pricier than the rest but worth it!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I loved it. Its 80ft from some places in my home. Metal shop house type. It would get to the other side without needing an extender. Sadly, (suddenlink/optimum) my GARBAGE ISP sent a dirty signal to it and fried it. I had to down grade and its been rough. Hopefully after a year, they have it back in stock

New to netgear
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Always use apple for I use a mac. Anyways wanted to have an all in one modem/router so I liked the reviews. I bought the netgear nighthawk c7000. Very easy to set up has 4 ports witch was a plus. I love the speed so far and way faster then my airport extreme. I have 2 issues that I hope they will change. First I can not change the name of my router when accessing from a web browser the user name will be admin and I want to change it with no luck but when you can use special characters in this password. But the biggest fault I have is you can not use special characters in my pass word when I connect my mac or iphone. No clue why I will email their tech support and see what they tell me.

I Should Have Bought This A Long Time Ago
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Set up was very easy. I kick myself every time I think about how much money I lost renting the one that Xfinity gave me. This is far superior for an all-in-one wireless modem router. The range on this is excellent and Im able to get a strong signal throughout my two story house and even outside. No longer do I have to be close to my office to get excellent download speeds. This will easily pay for itself in its excellent performance. Nothing more frustrating than having to wait for live tv to constantly reload.

Everything I Wanted!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed a new router for my home and decided on the NETGEAR - Nighthawk AC1900 Wi-Fi Router with Docsis 3.0 Cable Modem. After reading many articles and reviews for about a week I decided to get this Netgear router/modem. I needed the router and to help with the cost I decided to go the Netgear Nighthawk Router/Modem and return the Comcast/Xfinity unit. I could not be happier. It was a super fast install. The speed is excellent for my home needs (2 computers, Xfinity Blast, and 2 Roku boxes).

AC1900 working fine for me
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.AC1900 seems to be working fine. I purchased another Nighthawk product from BestBuy (Netgear AX1800) about 30-45 days prior to buying the AC1900, and it was trash and a waste of hard earned money. Needless to say it's a paperweight at best. But, we're here for the AC1900, and it's working so far.

Bye, Bye Rented Wireless Gateway!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.About 1.5 years ago, our cable/tv provider pushed their "Wireless Gateway" onto us and from the minute it was powered on...I hated it. However, at the time, we had their Triple Bundle and needed the telephony capability. Since then...we've cancelled everything but Internet and have switched to WiFi connected streaming devices and no landline. This placed the Wireless Gateway's major downfall under a microscope...horrendously poor WiFi signal speed and range. We have the 200Gbps BLAST! speed and through the directly wired computer next to the Gateway...we would get the full 200. WiFi about 8" from the Gateway was around 65Gbps (through speedtest.net). Half-way across the house (small home, about 1100 sq. ft, 45' length) it would drop to about 35Gbps and in the living room where we watch TV...AT BEST...I would get about 12Gbps, but during peak hours...closer to about 2.5 OR LESS. After some research, I confirmed my speculation that the Gateway is JUNK and decided rather than to take it up with our provider...to just buy my own instead and if it works...drop the rental unit. Enter the Netgear C7000 unit here. I opened the box and in about 15 minutes it was installed (super easy) and I am now getting buffer free streaming with crystal clear image quality on demand and against using speedtest.net....I am getting about 215Gbps about 8" away and a minimum of 183Gbps all the way across the house ...and down in the basement where I have a laptop set up. This is on the 5G wireless band. On the 2.4G signal, the speeds are less impressive....somewhere between 80 and 60Gbps throughout the home...which is still a DRASTIC improvement and completely workable for my needs. Needless to say...I am happy with my purchase and more importantly...my wife is no longer giving me the side-eye about our decision to cut our Cable service and threatening to put us back ON to a cable subscription. As far as I'm concerned...the return on investment for this product is under 2 months if I consider the cost of monthly Cable TV service from our provider. I win. The "Wireless Gateway" is a big, fat LOSER. I can't wait to return it and take 10 bucks per month back into my pocket.

Great coverage without drops
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had this router for years before switching to a mesh system and loved it. For the price, you really can’t beat the quality of coverage and device capability. In our two story house we never had any signal loss or connectivity issues and had anywhere from 10-15 devices attached to our network the majority of the time. The app and web interface were simple enough without being too techy. A solid purchase to meet most people’s home networking needs.

Great!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work from home and the comcast router i was using kept on disconnecting my calls even saying the internet was not available. While this was pricey, it has been worth it. So far no issues with the internet going in and out and it was messing up daily with the comcast router. I am happy with this purchase and set up was a breeze.
